We’re excited to introduce Mathnasium “Take-Overs”—a high-energy, engaging math experience that brings our instructors directly into your school for a fun and collaborative math challenge students love!
During a Mathnasium "Take-Over," our instructors lead a one-class-hour math activity for up to four classrooms. We work with any grade level, from 1st through 5th grade, and can adapt the experience to fit your space. We’re happy to rotate from classroom to classroom or set up in a shared space such as the library, where classes come to us.
Students are split into small teams and work together to solve math problems designed to be challenging, engaging, and confidence-boosting. Our instructors circulate throughout the room—checking answers, offering guidance, and supporting groups as needed. The focus is on teamwork, problem-solving, and having fun with math.
The winning team from each classroom earns a giveaway to celebrate their success. These events are incredibly exciting for students—they love the friendly competition, the teamwork, and the chance to shine in math.
Important details:
"Take-Overs" are offered in the morning only, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM
Events must be scheduled three months in advance, as we work after school and need to make special arrangements for these events.
Our instructors truly enjoy being in schools, and these "Take-Overs" are some of our favorite events to run—they’re energetic, memorable, and a lot of fun for everyone involved.
