At Mathnasium of Johns Creek, we focus on building deep math understanding and mastery over time, so students are never cramming at the last minute.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment that reveals their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently and deliberately, laying the groundwork for lasting success in the classroom and beyond.
Our specially trained tutors support students across all K-12 math subjects, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond. Each session reinforces classroom concepts, fills foundational gaps, and develops the problem-solving skills students need to excel on quizzes, midterms, and final exams.
As a major exam approaches, we shift focus to the specific topics and concepts it covers, so students walk into test day feeling confident and prepared.
Yes! We help students in Johns Creek build the math skills and confidence they need to succeed on the Georgia Milestones Assessment System.
Our specially trained tutors align instruction with Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards, ensuring every student has a solid command of the concepts the exam covers. They receive a personalized learning plan that is built from their diagnostic assessment results, targeting the specific knowledge gaps standing between them and grade-level mastery.
We recommend enrolling at the start of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address any knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are progressing steadily toward grade-level mastery well before the exam.
The Georgia Milestones measures cumulative math understanding built over the school year, which means consistent, ongoing support delivers far better results than last-minute preparation.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of Johns Creek helps high school students build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies they need to perform their best on the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors work from proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans tailored to each student's current skill level and target goals, whether they're preparing for their first attempt or working to improve a previous score.
Starting early leads to better results, and we recommend at least three to six months before the exam date.
College admissions math exams don't test just one skill; they cover algebra, data analysis, geometry, and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. That breadth is exactly why early preparation matters. With enough time, students can work through knowledge gaps systematically, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop confidence along the way.
For students in Johns Creek aiming for highly selective colleges and universities, strong math scores are often a deciding factor, and the students who achieve them typically started building their foundation early on.
Students with significant foundational gaps benefit most from starting in middle school or early high school, giving them the time they need to build a solid base before test prep begins.
If the exam date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time your student has.
Math test prep at Mathnasium of Johns Creek is included as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly. We're happy to walk you through the options and build a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
Every student's preparation timeline looks a little different. The right number of sessions depends on their current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time remains before test day.
As a general guide, students working toward major exams like the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For the Georgia Milestones or classroom exams, a shorter timeline may be all that's needed.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll recommend a schedule tailored to your student's needs and goals, giving them the best possible foundation heading into test day.
Yes! Whether your student attends in-center or online, the experience stays the same. They'll work with our specially trained tutors in Johns Creek through live, face-to-face sessions, following the same personalized learning plan they would at the center.
