At Mathnasium of Mansfield North, we believe the best exam preparation is building deep math understanding and mastery over time.
Students begin the enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that develops math skills consistently across sessions, so students aren't starting from scratch before every test.
Our specially trained tutors support students across any K-12 math class, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing the concepts they're learning in school, filling in foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that carry them through quizzes, midterms, and final exams alike.
When a major test is approaching, we can align instruction with the specific concepts and topics it will cover, so your student walks in feeling prepared and confident.
Yes! Mathnasium of Mansfield North prepares students for the math portions of the STAAR assessment.
Our tutors align instruction with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) to make sure students have a firm grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on the exam.
We use a diagnostic assessment to identify each student's knowledge gaps, then build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
When it comes to STAAR prep, timing matters. Because the STAAR exam measures cumulative math understanding built over the school year, students benefit most from steady, consistent support rather than last-minute preparation.
Ideally, students should begin working with us at the start of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are gradually progressing toward grade-level mastery well before test day arrives.
That said, if the exam is coming up soon, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a personalized plan adjusted to the time you have.
Yes! Mathnasium of Mansfield North prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is taking one of these exams for the first time or looking to improve a previous score, we tailor preparation to their current skill level and target goals.
The sooner, the better! For best results, we recommend beginning at least three to six months before the exam date.
Math sections on college admissions exams are broad, covering everything from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Geometry is often an area where building a solid foundation early pays off significantly on test day, so the more runway your student has, the better positioned they'll be when it counts. Starting prep early allows for enough time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from continuous practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math and geometry skills, starting in middle school or early high school ensures the solid foundation they’ll need heading into test prep.
If your student's test date is closer than you'd like, contact us, and we'll create a focused plan around the time they have.
Math test prep at Mathnasium of Mansfield North is offered as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's personalized learning plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly at (833) 579-6284 or email [email protected]. We're happy to walk you through the options and help you find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
The right number of sessions depends on your student's current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time remains before test day.
As a general guide, students preparing for major exams such as the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For the STAAR or classroom exams, the timeline may be shorter; it all depends on the student’s starting point and goals.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of your student's needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes! Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained tutors in Mansfield and follow the same personalized learning plan they would use at the center.
No, both formats provide the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction, and caring guidance from our tutors. Many families choose a combination of in-center and online sessions for added flexibility around busy schedules and exam timelines.
