Vidya Bala
Centre Director
With an MBA in Finance and more than a decade of teaching experience, Vidya brings both expertise and heart to Mathnasium of Burlington. Her background allows her to blend structure, logic, and empathy, helping students feel supported while developing strong math foundations.
Vidya is passionate about guiding students beyond memorization toward real understanding. By breaking down complex ideas and encouraging thoughtful problem-solving, she builds confidence and nurtures a positive relationship with math. She believes every child can succeed with patience, curiosity, and the right encouragement.
Kaylee Devries
Lead Instructor
Kaylee earned her bachelor’s degree in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from McMaster University and her master’s degree in Mathematics from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Mathematics, continuing to deepen her knowledge and research in the field.
Her long-term goal is to become a university professor and inspire others to see the beauty, creativity, and logic behind numbers. Outside of academics, Kaylee enjoys cheerleading, dancing, and staying active through sports, which she believes balance her analytical work with energy and fun.

Outside of teaching, she enjoys coding, research, and exploring new technologies. All students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints what they already know and what they still need to learn.
