Anh holds a Master’s degree in Global Management and a MicroMaster’s in Supply Chain Management, building on a Bachelor of Science degree earned in the U.S. With experience tutoring college students in Math and Business, Anh brings strong leadership, management, and communication skills to Mathnasium. Passionate about education as a pathway to opportunity, Anh co-founded an educational startup in Vietnam that provided English education to orphans and children from underserved communities. Committed to giving back to the community, Anh strives to empower students by building their confidence, strengthening their problem-solving skills, and helping them reach their full potential.
Kate is a fourth year undergraduate math student at SFU with a passion for helping students find confidence in their mathematical abilities. From volunteering in local high school math classrooms to serves as treasurer for the SFU Math Student Union, building community through mathematics is central to Kate’s goals. She believes that empowering students to develop their mathematical and critical thinking skills will befit them with self-assuredness they can apply across domains.
Aiden is a dedicated student who enjoys helping others build confidence in math. He focuses on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, clear steps so students can understand and apply them with ease. Aiden aims to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions.
Ace is a dedicated Psychology student at Simon Fraser University (SFU), minoring in Education with a specialization in Learning Disabilities and Development (LDD). Deeply committed to neurodiverse support and cultural competency, he leverage a strong academic foundation in psychological theory and therapeutic practices to advocate for tailored, affirming care and enhanced quality of learning for students.
Fatemeh is a second year undergraduate Health Sciences student at Simon Fraser University. Math was always one of her favorite subjects growing up, and she hopes to help students build that same sense of confidence and enjoyment. She believes that understanding comes from asking the right questions and working through problems one step at a time. Rather than simply giving students the answer, Fatemeh encourages them to think through each step and develop the confidence to solve problems on their own. Her goal is for every student to leave each session with a stronger understanding of math, greater confidence in their abilities, and problem solving skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom.
Maddy is a fourth-year Computer Science student at Simon Fraser University with a passion for teaching and working with children. She has volunteered in elementary schools, where she supported students in developing their math, reading, and writing skills. Maddy enjoys connecting with kids and creating positive, meaningful learning experiences. She strives to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Rio is a fourth year Data Science student at SFU, hoping to make a transition into healthcare. She finds fulfillment and helping people build confidence and develop independence. At Mathnasium, she hopes to create a welcoming environment where kids feel supported and comfortable.
