Kris is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Collingwood and a proud mother to a daughter beginning post-secondary studies. A lifelong learner and explorer, she has travelled widely, experiencing different cultures that have shaped her open-minded approach to leadership. With years of experience in the customer service industry, Kris is known for her warmth, professionalism, and dedication to helping others succeed.
She volunteers with local organizations such as SUCCESS and Mosaic BC, reflecting her commitment to community. Kris believes every student can thrive with patience and encouragement. She works hard to make Mathnasium a welcoming space where learning feels fun.
Mary is pursuing a degree in Mathematics at the University of British Columbia and brings several years of tutoring experience to Mathnasium. She has worked with students from elementary school through university, helping them develop confidence and curiosity in math. Her passion for teaching was inspired by professors who believed in her abilities and encouraged her to do the same for others.
Mary values connection as the foundation of learning. She believes math can be both exciting and empowering when taught with patience and creativity, and she enjoys seeing her students grow into confident, independent thinkers.
Megan is a student in the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia, where her love of learning continues to grow. Her volunteer work with children inspired her to help students overcome their fear of math and discover the fun in problem-solving. She brings patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
At Mathnasium, Megan focuses on building students’ confidence alongside their skills. She believes every child learns differently and takes pride in helping them reach those “aha” moments where everything clicks and learning becomes joyful.
Anh is currently a Science student at the Simon Fraser University. She has always been inspired by her Math teachers to explore more about the subject and she also wishes to share this passion with other younger students. She hopes all the students can be confident in Math and have fun learning it.
A computer scientist with a huge love for teaching and a long road cultivating love for math in students. With his energetic and mathematic love, he shares his knowledge and experience with anyone interested.
Saoirse is currently a student in health sciences at SFU. She has a deep passion for teaching from her experience volunteering in several bands. Saoirse has a love for math and lives for seeing students progress in their studies. She aims for all students to enjoy and understand math more than when they first arrived.
Jayson is a dedicated student with a strong drive to master and deeply understand every topic he engages with. He approaches tutoring with a balance of passion and clarity, creating a supportive and focused learning environment. Jayson believes that every student has the ability to grow when given the right guidance and encouragement. This belief motivates him to go beyond simply teaching the “what,” placing equal importance on helping students understand the “why” behind each concept.
Math Instructor at Mathnasium with over six years of tutoring experience in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 across Cambridge and Edexcel curricula. Currently pursuing a post-baccalaureate in Cybersecurity, he brings strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and enthusiasm to every session.
Known for his positive energy and patience, he connects well with students, helping them build confidence and enjoy learning math. Outside of Mathnasium, Kazi enjoys playing soccer, coding creative projects, and exploring the outdoors across beautiful British Columbia—bringing the same curiosity and determination into the classroom each day.
Billy studies Business at the University of British Columbia and has passed the CFA Level I exam, reflecting a strong foundation in accounting and analytical thinking. He focuses on helping students understand concepts clearly by breaking problems into simple, structured steps. His patient and organized teaching style helps students build confidence, accuracy, and long-term problem-solving skills.
Andrea is currently studying Bioinformatics at Langara College, where she enjoys exploring how mathematical concepts connect with biological data. She has a strong interest in logic puzzles, reflecting her love for problem-solving and analytical thinking. While her academic and professional interests are rooted in math and science, her hobbies lean toward the creative side—she enjoys crocheting and building model
Emma is a biology student at Simon Fraser University with a strong passion for working with kids and helping them succeed in math. Through her experience as a summer camp leader, she discovered how much she enjoys creating a positive learning environment.
As an instructor, Emma strives to be patient, knowledgable, and empathetic. She is committed to making math approachable and rewarding for every student she works with.
