Carlos is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Dufferin Grove. He earned his Bachelor in Computer and Electrical Engineering in 2001 and began his career designing instrumentation and control systems in the mining industry. He later pursued a career in software development, where he still works today.
Carlos has always had a passion for math and teaching, making his decision to join the Mathnasium family a natural one. He enjoys helping students grow their confidence and truly understand math in a fun and engaging environment.
Thomas received his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto in 2001 and has been teaching math since 2000. With over two decades of experience, Thomas believes math is the foundation for logical thinking and practical problem-solving in everyday life.
His teaching approach focuses on developing reasoning skills and building student confidence. Thomas is committed to showing students how learning math can empower them beyond the classroom.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and a diploma in Computer Systems Technology from Medicine Hat College. He served 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Logistics Officer before transitioning into IT consulting and real estate investing.
He believes understanding and applying math is essential for success and is eager to share that belief with students at Mathnasium. Steve enjoys helping students build confidence and realize the real-world importance of math.
Irene is a retired Finance Officer from the Canadian Army with a Bachelor in Mathematics from York University and a CPA designation. She also served as an instructor at the Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics.
At Mathnasium, she loves hearing students say, “Oh, I get it!” and seeing their progress over time. Irene values the importance of helping students learn, apply, and retain mathematical concepts that will benefit them throughout life.
Dominic is a retired educator and pharmaceutical professional with a B.A. and B.Ed. in Mathematics, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in Physical Anthropology from the University of Toronto. He has taught in schools, served as a teaching assistant and lecturer in graduate school, and worked as a Medical Science Liaison.
Throughout his career, Dominic has continued tutoring math, helping students overcome perceived limitations and build self-confidence. He believes math instruction can create bridges that unlock success in school and life.
