Roya is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Dundas. Before opening her centre, she worked as a Senior Product Manager at the Bank of Nova Scotia. She holds a degree in Software Development and a diploma in Computer Programming and Accounting.
Roya is passionate about helping students truly understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. She has taught and tutored children of all ages and is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method™ to the Dundas/Waterdown community.
Pieter, known by students as "Mr. G", holds a B.Sc. in Physics with minors in Math and Electronics. He spent 35 years as a software developer and has loved math since discovering "Fun With Figures" in the newspaper at age 10.
He joined Mathnasium in 2021 as an Instructor, became Assistant Centre Director that same year, and was promoted to Centre Director in 2023. Pieter brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a love for math puzzles to every session, inspiring students to develop mathematical confidence and curiosity.
Abdullah discovered his passion for tutoring in high school while helping classmates with math. His supportive and patient approach helped peers grasp difficult concepts and build confidence.
At Mathnasium, Abdullah brings strong communication and problem-solving skills to every session. He creates an inclusive, collaborative learning environment and enjoys inspiring students to think critically and approach math with curiosity and determination.
Nevin is a high school student who found his passion for teaching early, helping friends with math homework in elementary school. His enthusiasm for math shines through his collaborative and thoughtful approach to instruction.
He believes math and sports have something in common: both require teamwork and a strong mindset. Outside of Mathnasium, Nevin enjoys playing football and soccer, which help him bring energy and empathy to his teaching.
Andrew is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. He understands the importance of building strong core math skills to support success in advanced subjects and real-life problem solving.
At Mathnasium, Andrew enjoys helping students strengthen their math foundation and think critically. His calm, focused teaching style supports students as they gain confidence and see the value of math in all areas of life.
Katie has a strong passion for teaching and is pursuing her B.Ed, with hopes of becoming a high school math teacher. She holds a B.Eng in Biomedical Engineering, motivated by a love of math at an early age, and giving her wide experience applying math to real world problems.
Growing up playing competitive sports, along with an array of tutoring, teaching, coaching, and professional experience, has given Katie a great dedication and commitment to helping others succeed.
Dhruv is currently studying Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University. His interest in mathematics grew from a fascination with how data and numbers can reveal meaningful patterns and insights about the world. He discovered his passion for teaching while coaching a house league soccer team and has since enjoyed helping students build confidence in their mathematical abilities. Seeing students grow and succeed under his guidance is what motivates him most, and he finds it deeply rewarding.
Rashi is a high school student who brings a genuine passion for math to the Mathnasium team. She enjoys helping students build strong problem-solving skills, and believes building strong math skills early creates lasting confidence. Rashi's encouraging approach helps create a positive environment where students feel supported while they learn.
Outside of teaching, she loves swimming and playing badminton.
Grace developed a passion for puzzles, math, and problem-solving at a young age, motivating her to pursue a Bachelor of Mathematics degree. She enjoys working with students of all ages, and strives to create a supportive environment where they can build confidence and develop strong mathematical skills.
Outside of Mathnasium, Grace enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active.
