A Great Day at Steve MacLean Public School's Year-End Event

Jun 25, 2026 | Findlay Creek

As the school year came to a close, we had the opportunity to take part in the year-end event at Steve MacLean Public School, and it was a fantastic way to celebrate the start of summer with students, families, and staff.

Throughout the event, students stopped by our booth to try a variety of math games, challenges, and activities. From strategy-based Connect Four matches to hands-on problem-solving activities, there was plenty to keep students thinking, learning, and having fun.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing students approach math with curiosity and confidence. Some jumped right into the challenges, while others brought friends or family members along to work through them together. It created a fun and welcoming atmosphere where students could explore math in a different way than they might in the classroom.

We also enjoyed meeting families from the community, answering questions, and connecting with students outside of the school setting. Events like these are a great reminder that learning doesn't only happen during class time. Curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking can be encouraged in all kinds of environments, especially when students are having fun.

A big thank you to the staff, students, and families of Steve MacLean Public School for welcoming us and making the event such a success. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of the celebration and to contribute to such a positive community event.

As summer begins, we hope all students have a chance to relax, enjoy time with family and friends, and continue exploring the world around them with curiosity and confidence.

We had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing many familiar faces again in the future.
