Ola is passionate about helping children build strong math foundations that support both academic success and personal growth. With over 14 years of experience teaching math and music, she brings creativity and structure to her approach.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Education, certifications in Human Resources and Payroll, and a diploma in music. Since opening her first Mathnasium in 2019, Ola has created a caring environment where students feel confident to learn and thrive. Outside the centre, she enjoys playing the piano and spending time with family.
Kent is a University of Ottawa graduate with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Minor in History. They bring a broad academic perspective and a love for teaching to Mathnasium.
Having taught English abroad in Japan and tutored math and other subjects, Kent plans to pursue a Bachelor of Education to continue inspiring students. In their free time, they enjoy playing in the Ottawa Pops Orchestra and writing.
Noor is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Information Systems at Carleton University. With a passion for education and leadership, he helps students feel confident and excited about math.
As a former teacher’s assistant, Noor enjoys connecting with students and tailoring his approach to each learning style. He’s dedicated to creating a fun, welcoming space where every student can succeed.
Jongsuk holds an Honours BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Education. He has experience teaching math and chemistry at the private school level.
Believing that every student learns differently, he focuses on helping each one find their own path to understanding. In his free time, he enjoys reading and experimenting in the kitchen.
Chelsea is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. She is passionate about advancing healthcare through innovative solutions to make a difference in the world, and has worked on several projects focused on the development of medical technologies throughout her studies. Outside of her academic pursuits, Chelsea currently leads a children’s and youth choir at her local church and believes that with early guidance, anything can be mastered.
Orpita is currently pursuing an Honours BSc in Biology at the University of Ottawa. She understands that math can feel intimidating, and she’s passionate about creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenges with confidence. Having worked with students of different skill levels, Orpita enjoys seeing the “aha!” moments when things finally click. Outside of teaching, she loves exploring the connections between science and everyday life.
Germaine is an instructor at Mathnasium of Findlay Creek and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Legal Studies at Carleton University. Math has always been a subject she enjoys, and she loves helping students gain clarity and confidence with mathematical concepts. Germaine especially values having open conversations with students, encouraging them to look at problems from different angles and discover approaches that work best for them. She is dedicated to creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.
Rayan is an Instructor at Mathnasium and also works as an Engineer. She joined Mathnasium because she loves working with kids and helping them succeed. Math has always been one of her strongest skills, and she takes pride in sharing that with students. Rayan is passionate about helping the next generation build confidence and a deeper understanding of math. Outside of Mathnasium, Rayan enjoys playing tennis and can often be found on the court after work.
Karim is an instructor at Mathnasium of Findlay Creek. He is a dedicated student with a strong passion for math and helping others succeed. Karim enjoys working with younger students and takes pride in making math clear and approachable. He connects easily with students, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Karim is planning to pursue medical school in the future and is excited to share his love of math while helping students reach their full potential.
Jad is an experienced instructor at Mathnasium of Findlay Creek, bringing over three years of teaching expertise to the center. Throughout his time with Mathnasium, he has consistently demonstrated dedication and passion for helping students succeed in mathematics. With more than 100 volunteer hours and a First Aid certificate, Jad goes above and beyond to support his community while ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. He takes pride in guiding students to understand the right techniques for problem-solving and enjoys helping them clear obstacles in their learning journey. Outside of teaching, Jad is a committed student himself, working hard toward his dream of becoming a successful businessman.
Karma is an Instructor at Mathnasium Findlay Creek. She is currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Ottawa with the goal of becoming a child psychologist. Karma has always enjoyed working with children and holds both Red Cross and Babysitting certifications. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident. Understanding that every child learns differently, Karma enjoys changing her approach to meet each student’s individual needs, which connects directly to her field of study. When she’s not tutoring, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Marc is pursuing a Bachelor's in Software Engineering at the University of Ottawa. A competitive student-athlete and provincial soccer champion, he brings the same dedication and perseverance to tutoring that drives him on the field. With a passion for learning and helping others grow, Marc enjoys connecting with students and making math feel approachable for everyone. He believes every student has the potential to succeed, and is committed to bringing energy and encouragement to every session.
