Shalini brings over twenty years of experience as a Primary and Elementary educator. She holds a Bachelor of Education, is an Ontario Certified Teacher, and has additional qualifications in Special Education and Montessori Elementary education, along with a B.A. in English Literature. Shalini has taught in Canada and internationally and has contributed to IB and British curriculum development.
She believes in a flexible, student-centred approach that meets each child’s unique learning needs. Shalini is passionate about helping students overcome math anxiety and apply math confidently in everyday life, making learning meaningful and enjoyable.
Vidhika is an experienced HR professional with over ten years in Talent Acquisition within the tech industry. She holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources and Marketing and brings strong organizational and people-focused skills to Mathnasium of Milton.
Her collaborative nature supports smooth centre operations and a welcoming environment for staff and students alike. Vidhika enjoys building meaningful connections and supporting children as they grow in confidence. Outside the centre, she enjoys indoor gardening, refurbishing antiques, and spending time with her dog, Bruce Wayne.
Meira holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from the University of Toronto and is currently preparing for the LSAT as she pursues a career in law. At Mathnasium, she plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
She actively greets and welcomes new parents and students, supports instructors, and assists with a wide range of operational and administrative tasks. Meira takes pride in helping create a warm, organized, and supportive environment for students, parents, and staff alike.
She also enjoys teaching and supporting younger students, participating in events and interactive activities, and watching students grow in both confidence and ability over time. Her approachable and friendly presence helps ensure every visitor feels welcomed and well supported.
Kingsley is studying Health Sciences at McMaster University and wants to pursue a career in Medicine. He is highly passionate about teaching and strives to help all students achieve their academic goals. At Mathnasium, Kingsley is able to further his passion for teaching in an environment that shares his values. As an individual who believes in a holistic approach to teaching, Kingsley recognizes the importance of mathematics across all disciplines of study. In his experience, learning mathematics not only provides students with the practical knowledge needed for various fields, but the learning strategies developed through mathematics also enhance their ability to work through novel problems in the future. Aside from teaching, Kingsley enjoys spending time with friends, playing volleyball, and keeping up-to-date with the latest Star Wars lore. Kingsley’s favourite math joke is: What was R2D2’s only calculation error? Thinking his volume was r squared times d squared.
Huda is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences and plans to build a career in radiology, with a focus on MRI or cardiac sonography. She enjoys teaching math because it encourages analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Huda values how Mathnasium helps students develop logical reasoning and confidence. Outside the centre, she enjoys baking her well-known cake pops and creating Arabic calligraphy artwork. Her favourite math joke asks why the geometry teacher missed school, because she sprained her angle.
Talha is a 3rd year Mechatronics Engineering student at McMaster University, and he hopes to eventually pursue a PhD and build a career in Academia. Talha enjoys mathematics because it develops logical thinking and provides a strong foundation for understanding complex systems across engineering and science.
At Mathnasium, Talha enjoys helping students develop strong problem solving skills in a supportive environment while simultaneously helping them build up their confidence.
In his day to day life, Talha enjoys making music, graphics programming, and exploring niche and oftentimes obsolete technologies.
His favourite math joke is: My relationship with math is very stable. It always converges when I put in the effort.
Fady is studying Mechatronics Engineering at McMaster University. He hopes to pursue a career in embedded systems and chip design. Fady enjoys teaching and learning math, the language of the universe. He hopes to give students the mathematical foundation needed to be the future engineers, doctors, scientists, and ultimately contributors to the world. When Fady is not teaching he likes to learn about languages, play sports, and go biking. Fady's favourite math joke is: what's a math teacher's favourite kind of tree? Geometry!
Julie is hoping to pursue a career in neuroscience at the University of Toronto, with a strong interest in understanding how the brain learns and processes information. She is passionate about education and enjoys working with students to help them reach their academic goals. At Mathnasium, she loves teaching math and finds it rewarding to break down challenging concepts into simple steps while building students’ confidence and problem-solving skills.
In her day-to-day life, Julie enjoys playing table tennis, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and baking in her free time. She is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every student can succeed. Her favourite math joke is: “Why did the student eat their homework? Because the teacher said it was a piece of cake!”
Judy is a Biomedical Sciences student at York University. She is passionate about teaching and inspiring kids to love learning and reach their goals. When Judy is not studying, you can find her getting creative with friends and family through painting, pottery, drawing, and sewing. Judy enjoys working as an Instructor at Mathnasium as it gives her the chance to connect with kids, help them grow in math, and inspire them during their educational journey!
Yalda is a student at York University, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Health Policy, Management, and Digital Health. She aspires to work in healthcare management with a particular interest in roles that involve integrating technology to improve patient care and healthcare operations. Yalda is passionate about teaching math to help students master concepts they once found challenging. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring new coffee shops! Her favourite math joke is: why shouldn't you ever argue with a 90 degree angle? They're always right!
Rayyan is pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Business. Rayyan aspires to start a career as a programmer or a developer, and is also trying to start his own business! Rayyan enjoys teaching math and working with all our Mathnasium Mathletes and strives to ensure that all students reach their fullest potential in mathematics. Rayyan loves math because it is like solving a series of puzzles, each one more intriguing than the last, and when you finally crack it, there is a sense of satisfaction that is hard to beat. During his free time, Rayyan likes to read books and play sports. Rayyan's favourite math joke is: Why was the equal sign so humble? Because it knew it wasn't less than or greater than anyone else!
Maha is studying Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph. She is passionate about the sciences and how it can explain all things around us. She has always enjoyed math and loves teaching it to others, especially through fun, interactive and engaging ways. She believes math is an essential part of life, and that every student should have the opportunity to understand mathematics. Through Mathnasium, her goal is to help students conceptualize math and learn to enjoy it in different ways. When not studying, Maha enjoys reading novels, skateboarding, and annoying her little sisters! Her favorite math joke is: “There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count and those who can’t.”
Zahra is planning to study biomedical sciences, with the goal of pursuing dentistry in the future. She enjoys helping students build confidence in math by breaking down concepts in a clear, supportive, and stress-free way. Outside of school, Zahra enjoys art and hands-on creative projects, especially anything creative or design-based. She loves working at Mathnasium because she enjoys building connections with students and watching them become more confident problem-solvers.
Zaid is studying Computer Engineering at the University of Guelph and is interested in building a career in software development and technology. He enjoys teaching and is passionate about helping students feel confident as they learn new skills. At Mathnasium, Zaid strives to make math clear and approachable by breaking down problems step-by-step in a way that students can actually understand.
With a teaching style that’s clear, patient, and encouraging, Zaid believes math is more than just getting the right answer it helps students build strong problem solving habits they can use in school and beyond. Outside of Mathnasium, Zaid enjoys watching sports.
