Barindra holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from the Sauder School of Business at UBC. After a successful corporate career with TELUS, Coast Capital Savings, and BCLC, she opened her first Mathnasium centre in South Surrey in 2013, inspired by helping her son with math.
Barindra believes math is more than grades—it builds logic, reasoning, and lifelong problem-solving skills. She is passionate about helping students develop confidence and a strong math foundation for future success.
Jasman recently earned her Associate of Science degree from Columbia College and aspires to become a physiotherapist. With a deep love for math from an early age, she pursued higher-level math courses in college and enjoys applying that passion to support young learners.
At Mathnasium, Jasman loves building strong connections with students and helping them grow more confident in their abilities. She believes math is a gateway to understanding the world and is excited to share that perspective with every child she works with.
Girija brings nearly two decades of classroom experience to Mathnasium, having taught mathematics for 19 years in the Middle East. She holds a Master’s in Computer Applications and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Education, and she brings both expertise and heartfelt enthusiasm to every session.
Since immigrating to Canada, Girija has continued her teaching journey with Mathnasium, where she’s passionate about guiding students of all ages through their math challenges. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students light up when a tricky concept finally clicks.
Adrian is a math enthusiast and licensed commercial pilot with over five years of tutoring experience. He graduated with honors from Sault College’s Aviation Technology – Flight program and even served as a flight instructor. He’s also managed his college’s entire mathematics tutoring department.
Adrian joined Mathnasium to share his love of math in a caring group environment. He enjoys showing students how math applies to real life—especially in aviation! Fun fact: Adrian often uses Mathnasium-style problem-solving right in the flight deck, sometimes while flying over the centre itself!
Kieran holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Aviation and has spent over a decade educating students in both fields. He thrives on helping students connect with math in meaningful ways and guiding them toward those “aha!” moments.
Kieran believes that teaching is one of the most rewarding professions—and that math, when taught with understanding and care, opens doors to critical thinking and lifelong learning.
