Alaina

Instructor

Alaina is a freshman at Arizona State University, majoring in Medical Sciences. Her passion for learning and helping others drives her work at Mathnasium, where she enjoys supporting students and watching their skills and confidence grow. 

When she’s not tutoring, Alaina loves painting, spending time with friends, and making memories with her family. She believes that every student can succeed in math with the right encouragement and is excited to be part of their journey.

Alex is a student at Mountain Ridge High School who enjoys getting to work with math every day. He loves how math can open doors to many opportunities and even help people make smart financial decisions.

Outside of Mathnasium, Alex enjoys playing chess and weightlifting. He’s excited to help students build strong math skills and confidence!

Summer is a student at Glendale Community College who enjoys helping students build confidence and understanding in math. She especially loves the practical, real-world applications of math and how it connects to everyday life.

In her free time, Summer enjoys going to the lake, reading, listening to music, and watching television. She’s excited to support students at Mathnasium and make math meaningful and approachable!

Zoe

Nehemiah

Nehemiah attends school at Dream City Glendale and is excited to work at Mathnasium, where he enjoys helping students learn and grow in confidence. He loves the formulaic nature of math and how clear steps can lead to strong understanding and success.

In his free time, Nehemiah enjoys hiking in Sedona with his mother and stepfather. He’s looking forward to supporting students and making math a positive, approachable experience.

Nitya

Instructor

Nitya is a student at BASIS Peoria who loves how versatile math can be and is excited to help make it feel less daunting and more fun for students. She enjoys supporting learners as they build confidence and discover new ways to approach problem-solving.

In her free time, Nitya loves reading—especially mystery and thriller novels—and has a unique hobby of growing mushrooms. One of her favorite experiences was traveling to Iowa for a national speech and debate competition. She’s excited to work with students and share her enthusiasm for learning!

Jeff

Jeff studied at Southeast Missouri State University and is a former teacher who’s excited to bring his experience to Mathnasium. He enjoys helping others and loves that math always has an answer—making it a subject where students can gain confidence through clear, logical problem-solving.

When he’s not working with students, Jeff enjoys gaming, model railroading, and staying active through fitness. One of his favorite memories is the time he hit a golf ball across a pond and watched it skip across the water before landing safely on the other side! He’s thrilled to support students as they strengthen their math skills and discover the satisfaction of finding solutions.

Nathan D

Nathan is a student at Cactus High School who loves the natural flow and logic of math. He enjoys helping students see how math fits together and builds a strong foundation for problem-solving.

Outside of school, Nathan enjoys flying airplanes, reading, running, and jumping rope. He’s excited to bring his enthusiasm and curiosity to Mathnasium and support students on their math journey!

Abigail V

Abigail is a homeschooled student who loves helping others learn and grow. She enjoys math because there’s always an answer, which makes problem-solving both satisfying and confidence-building for students.

In her free time, Abigail enjoys roller blading, volunteering at her church, and traveling to Colorado with her family. She’s excited to support students at Mathnasium and help make math a positive experience!

Eshal is a student at Mountain Ridge High School who loves engaging with students and making math both fun and approachable. She especially enjoys how there are many different ways to solve math problems, allowing students to find methods that work best for them.

In her free time, Eshal enjoys studying, following Formula 1, and spending time at the beach with her family. She’s excited to help students build confidence and enjoy learning math!

Mo Ahmed

Mo Ahmed is a student at BASIS Peoria who loves exploring just how wild and fascinating math can be—poor Schrödinger’s cat! He enjoys meeting new students and helping them see math from a fresh, exciting perspective.

In his free time, Mo enjoys playing Super Smash Bros. with his brother, biking, camping, and hiking. He’s excited to be part of the Mathnasium team and share his enthusiasm for learning!
