Angelina Gyves

Instructor

About Me: I grew up in San Diego and just came to Colorado recently! I tutored in college and loved it. In my free time I enjoy gaming, making friendship bracelets, and playing board games with friends.

Fun Fact: My friends and I bought every apple variety we could find at the grocery store, taste-tested them, and Cosmic Crisp came out on top.

Education: B.S. in Computational Cognitive Science, Minor in Computer Science at UC Davis

Favorite Number: 13, because of the superstitions surrounding it as being an unlucky and mysterious number.

Why I like Mathnasium: I love the mission of making math accessible and fun! It’s always so satisfying to show students that they have what it takes to excel in academics.

Tristan Coon

Instructor

About Me: I am a college student who enjoys math.

Fun Fact: I can solve a Rubik's cube with one hand.

Favorite Number, Why? 299,792,458, which is the speed of light in a vacuum. I think it's fascinating because we didn't even know light had a speed until the 17th century. We now know that it is the universal speed limit which nothing can break.

Education: I am studying to get a bachelor's in math and physics at UCCS.

Why I like Mathnasium: Mathnasium teaches kids to love math instead of just memorizing it, which is something I want to be a part of.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
