  Mathnasium of Fairfax is located at 11891 Grand Commons Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22030, in the Fairfax Corner shopping area. The center is across the street from Ozzie's Good Eats restaurant with easy access and plenty of nearby amenities for families.

• Does Mathnasium of Fairfax offer online tutoring?

  No, Mathnasium of Fairfax offers exclusively in-person tutoring.  

  Students receive face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment from caring tutors.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Fairfax?

  Mathnasium of Fairfax offers math-only tutoring through a flat monthly membership. Most students attend two to three sessions per week. After a diagnostic assessment, we’ll design a personalized learning plan with a recommended session frequency to support your child’s progress.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student begins their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current math skills, knowledge gaps, and academic goals. We use this information to create a personalized learning plan tailored to their unique needs. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Fairfax, we use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized, assessment-based learning plans with proven teaching techniques to build solid foundations for math mastery. 

  Our tutors follow this approach to help students make sense of math, close their knowledge gaps, and develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.

  Both! We empower students of all skill levels to reach their full math potential.

  Absolutely! We work with students from public, private, and homeschool backgrounds throughout Fairfax, Fair Oaks, and nearby communities. 

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors make time during each session to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material being covered in school. 

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  Not typically, all learning happens during sessions at the center. We don’t assign extra homework, allowing students to stay focused and make meaningful progress during their time with us. We strongly believe in communicating with parents and you'll be the first to know if anything extra will be required at home.
