I’ve taken a variety of math classes including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Statistics. I participated in Math and Science Olympiad in high school and placed third in the Bottle Rocket competition. I also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chile. I’ve previously been an instructor at Mathnasium for 3 1/2 years! I love reading, cooking, baking, hiking, and camping.
Fun Fact: I almost own enough books to be considered a library

Education: I graduated with a bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Utah
Why I Like Mathnasium: I love making connections with the kids! Helping them have fun with math and feel confident in their skills makes me happy!
Liz has been with Mathnasium for five years, starting as a Center Director and now serving as a Regional Director. She is passionate about creating fun, welcoming learning environments where students feel excited to learn math and build confidence through personalized instruction. Liz has spent most of her life working with children through math instruction, sports coaching, swim lessons, and summer camps.
Liz believes success in math starts with confidence and perseverance, and she loves watching students grow from feeling discouraged to believing in themselves. Outside of Mathnasium, Liz enjoys cheering on the Utah Utes, watching sports, spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, skiing, snowboarding, and golfing.
Reed earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from BYU and an MBA from Boise State University. His career spans 25+ years in engineering leadership at companies like Hewlett Packard and Iomega, and he later founded a successful tech startup.
He’s passionate about growing students’ math confidence to prepare them for success in school and STEM careers. Reed has served on Utah’s Governor's Technology Initiative Advisory Board and champions math education across the state. Fun fact: Reed chose engineering after building a DC motor in 8th grade shop class.
Clint holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and spent 16+ years in marketing and advertising before joining Mathnasium.
Now a passionate advocate for math education, Clint loves seeing students gain confidence through math. A proud husband and father of three, he enjoys hiking, skiing, and cheering on the Utah Utes. Fun fact: Clint summited Mt. Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet! He finds helping kids realize they can do math to be one of the most rewarding experiences of his career.
I am currently studying graduate topology and algebra as well as complex analysis at the University of Utah. I absolutely love the field of analysis, and I hope to write my thesis in it! Some of my favorite courses over the years have been Linear Algebra, Algebraic Number Theory, and Real Analysis II. I participated in Mu Alpha Theta for several years in high school. I also did dual enrollment with Stanford University Online High School for my junior and senior years in high school. There, I worked in a number theory-based math research club. I have tutored friends, classmates, and neighborhood kids in math and science for over five years before working at Mathnasium. Their levels vary between elementary school to high school to various undergraduate fields (pure math, physics, engineering, etc.) I enjoy playing a plethora of video games (Dark Souls, Counter-Strike, Noita, and more), going on camping trips with friends, and having deep conversations with people.
Fun Fact: When I was a kid, I collected all kinds of stuffed animal germ plushies. Each representing a different kind of microbe existing in the real world. They were adorable and quite informative!
Favorite Number: e aka. 2.7182818284590453… This number, given by the sum of 1/n! for n = 1,2,3,…, allows for the construction of the most important function in all of mathematics. This is e^z for complex numbers z. It carries the important property of being a “group homomorphism,” preserving the structure between the additive real numbers and the multiplicative real numbers. This is demonstrated in the identity: e^(z+w) = (e^z)(e^w). Among other things, the slope of e^z is itself, and its integral is itself too.
Education: I go to school at the University of Utah. I am a first year in graduate school stuyding pure mathematics. I graduated high school in 2022 with many dual enrollment credits, allowing me to finish my undergrad quickly.
Why I love Mathnasium: I love sharing my passion of math with other people! It is my goal to kindle similar passions in the youth through teaching!
I’ve completed all my secondary math in honors, and I am currently in AP Calculus BC. I am currently in Jazz Band, National Honors Society, I’m in a rock band and perform regularly, and teach guitar lessons. I also was a teachers assistant for Jr. High Math. I love to play guitar, read, exercise, study, ski, and travel.
Fun Fact: I’ve been to over 10 countries.
Favorite Number, Why?: 2, you get the same result if you add 2 to itself, multiply it by itself, or put it to the power of itself.
Education: I am a Junior at Farmington High School.
Why I Like Mathnasium: I love math and helping other people understand the concepts.
I have taken Honors Secondary Math 2 and Secondary Math 3. I was on the Farmington High Swim and have played 2 years of rec. soccer. I have experience working with children when I taught as a swim instructor for two years. I love to read, play guitar, and do all sorts of sports, especially skiing.
Fun Fact: I can’t snap or roll my R’s.
Favorite Number, Why?: My favorite number is 9 because I love September.
Education: I am a Junior at Farmington High school.
Why I Like Mathnasium: I like working at Mathnasium because I love working with kids and it’s fun to help them understand my favorite subject, math.
I have taken everything up to Junior level in high school. I enjoy video games, working out, and drawing.
Fun Fact: I have a black belt in karate.
Favorite Number, Why: 5, it feels the most even out of all the odds.
Education: I am a junior in high school.
Why I Like Mathnasium: It’s always awesome to see the kids finally understand the math and start to enjoy it.
