After earning her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Washington, Arielle completed her Master’s in Teaching Math and Science at Seattle Pacific University. In Virginia, she served as a Center Director, Study Skills Instructor, and Homework Center Coach at an executive function learning center, where she loved helping students of all ages reach “lightbulb” moments. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, puzzles, and nature. She especially loves Algebra for its puzzle-like problem solving—and her favorite number is 11, simply because it’s fun.
Gabriel Serafin
Instructor
Gabriel is currently a junior at Decatur High School. He is currently enrolled in Running Start and plans to go to university for engineering. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones and playing video games. Gabriel’s favorite type of math is algebra because so many topics and concepts are built off of algebra. Lastly, his favorite number is 1855 because it’s fun to say.

Diana brings clarity and confidence to her students, helping them navigate challenging concepts. She herself is a Running Start student pursuing an associate in business. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Diana is also deeply involved in her church both as a youth member and pianist. Her favorite subjects are Algebra I and II.

Amy is currently a junior in high school doing Running Start, and wants to get a degree in engineering in the future. She loves playing tennis when it’s sunny and listening to some good music anywhere she goes.

Center Director
Tam Le is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Federal Way. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington and brings years of experience working as a teacher assistant and tutor with students of all ages.
Tam is passionate about helping kids truly understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. He opened his Mathnasium center to give back to the community and is committed to supporting students on their journey to math success and confidence.
Rachel Lowden

Rachel is currently a senior at Decatur High School. She's always had a love for math. She has plans to go into university for medicine. In her free time she enjoys painting, dyeing her hair, and writing. Rachel's favourite type of math is algebra and calculus because of it's application to real life. Her favourite number is 14 because it is her lucky number.
