Grant Moser
Center Director
My name is Grant Moser, and I am the Center Director for Mathnasium of Germantown. I attended James Madison University with a focus on geographic science and religion, with an emphasis on conservation and development. Following my studies, I entered public education as a full-time substitute teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. I truly enjoy sharing my passion for math and science with students and helping them build confidence and curiosity.
In addition to teaching, I worked as the Director for a sleep away summer camp in Topsail, NC. I loved encouraging students to challenge themselves as they engaged with our surfing and marine biology activities. Outside of Mathnasium, I enjoy scuba diving, travel, and trying new types of coffee!
As Center Director, I’m dedicated to ensuring every student feels supported and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

And more
We provide instruction across all major algebra courses taught through grade 12:
Prealgebra: Students usually struggle with variables and expressions, working with fractions, decimals, and negative numbers, and translating ratios, proportions, and word problems into equations. We help them build the number sense and reasoning skills needed to succeed in Algebra 1.
Algebra 1: Common challenges include solving multi-step equations, understanding linear functions and graphing, and working through inequalities and algebra-based word problems. Our tutors focus on helping students understand why the math works, not just how to follow steps.
Algebra 2: Students often need help with polynomials and factoring, exponential and rational functions, and more advanced topics such as logarithms, complex numbers, and systems of equations. We help them connect new concepts to what they’ve already learned so Algebra 2 feels more manageable and logical.
No matter the course, we tailor instruction to the student’s current skill level, pace, and academic goals.
Our specially trained math tutors help students learn and master any K–12 algebra topic, including:
Expressions and equations
Linear functions and graphing
Inequalities and absolute value
Systems of equations
Factoring and polynomials
Exponents and radicals
Quadratic and rational expressions
