Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Noel Siliato

Lead Instructor

Noel is a math graduate from North Greenville University and currently teaches Algebra 2 and Precalculus at Green Charter High School. She brings experience working with students of all ages and is known for her high energy and supportive approach.

Her students appreciate her fast-paced yet fun style of instruction. Noel's enthusiasm for teaching and dedication to student success make her an outstanding leader on the Mathnasium team.

Dr. Philip Caruso

Lead Instructor

Dr. Caruso is a mechanical engineer who brings real-world applications into the classroom, helping students see how math is used every day. His favorite number is 100, reflecting his goal for every student to excel, and his favorite math joke involves sitting in a 90-degree corner when you're cold.

He loves helping students become proficient in math, preparing them not only for class but for higher education. His engineering background and passion for teaching make him a valuable mentor for Mathnasium students.

Sharon Mattox

Lead Instructor

Sharon is a former classroom teacher who brings warmth and experience to her role at Mathnasium. She especially enjoys working with elementary students and is passionate about helping young learners grow their confidence in math.

Outside of the center, Sharon enjoys traveling with her husband and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Her nurturing presence helps create a welcoming environment for all students.

Ngolo Saliou Ouattara

Instructor

Saliou is originally from the Ivory Coast where he received his undergraduate degree in mathematics. (So he's also fluent in French!) He has his Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas. When he's not working in our centers, he is teaching freshman statistic courses at Clemson University while pursuing a PhD and also spending time with his family. He and his wife have 3 children, so he's busy, but not too busy to teach math with us! What a fabulous addition to our team!

Kellan Hogue

Online Instructor

Favorite number: My favorite number is 2π radians because it makes a full circle, just like many moments in life that bring you full circle.

Favorite math joke:  Parallel lines have so much in common. It's a shame they'll never meet!

Why I Love Mathnasium: I love mathnasium because I love being there for the moments when math clicks in a student's head. I love getting to be a part of the breakthroughs that help students unlock all kinds of possibilities.

Kellan is a graduate of Mauldin High School and currently attends Clemson University. He is majoring in Architecture. His favorite math class in high school was AP Calculus, especially derivatives. He is also at great at working with SAT/ACT prep students this summer especially since he just went through all of that!  Kellan is currently one of our online instructors.

Dipti Black

Instructor

Dipti teaches at Riverside Middle School and enjoys working with our students after hours and weekends.

Eric Shi

Instructor

Eric is a senior at East Side High School  who truly loves math. He is an accomplished mathlete and a competitive chess player! He loves tutoring students who are prepping for the SAT and ACT as he has a very high score himself (but he is very modest about it.) We're so glad he's part of our team!
