Lyman is a graduate student at Northeastern University pursuing a master’s in quantitative finance. He has a strong academic background in math, statistics, data analysis, and risk management. His love for math began in high school and grew stronger through college as he explored topics in business and fintech.
At Mathnasium, Lyman enjoys breaking down tricky problems into simple, clear steps. His favorite part of teaching is helping students move from “I don’t get it” to “That makes sense!” Outside of Mathnasium, he plays in a band and enjoys working on data projects.
Aldin is a rising senior at Norwell High School with a strong interest in math, statistics, and computer science. He often helps his peers with math, chemistry, and physics, and is passionate about applying math both inside and outside the classroom.
At Mathnasium, Aldin enjoys helping students discover new ways to approach math problems. He is also an active musician, performing flute and alto saxophone in concert settings, and is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He loves blending creativity and logic to inspire confidence in students.
Matt is a rising senior at Hanover High School where he currently takes AP Precalculus. He is a member of the Math Team and president of the Board Game Club, combining his love for math with his enthusiasm for strategy and problem-solving.
At Mathnasium, Matt is excited to help students enjoy math as much as he does. He aims to spark curiosity and support students in developing strong analytical thinking. When he’s not at Mathnasium, Matt plays soccer and rugby, and enjoys listening to music.
Long earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has worked professionally as a software developer. He has always enjoyed math and continues to explore STEM topics in his spare time.
At Mathnasium, Long brings a patient and supportive approach to helping students grasp challenging material. He enjoys making connections between computer science and math. Outside of teaching, he spends time reading comics and taking walks with his dog.
Ben is a rising junior at Northeastern University majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy. He enjoys exploring topics like game theory, deductive logic, and statistics, and previously worked as a teaching assistant at Northeastern.
Ben encourages students to ask questions and think critically about how math works. He believes understanding concepts deeply matters more than memorizing formulas. At Mathnasium, Ben helps students build confidence through curiosity and exploration. Outside of class, he enjoys memory training and learning how to recall long word sequences quickly.
