Karen holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado and an MS in Statistics from Texas A&M University. With over 15 years of teaching experience—including six years in the International Baccalaureate Program—Karen is passionate about helping students understand math in a way that makes sense to them.
Before opening Mathnasium of Holly Springs, she worked as an Actuarial Analyst and Product Manager. Her teaching philosophy aligns perfectly with Mathnasium’s mission, and she’s dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential.
Travis studied math at Kennesaw State University after graduating from Sequoyah High School, where AP Calculus sparked his passion for the subject. He enjoys helping students connect concepts and improve their mental math and problem-solving skills.
Outside of teaching, Travis is an outdoor enthusiast who loves fishing, kayaking, and working on projects. He also spends time with his three dogs—Jack, Leo, and Luna—who, according to him, are his favorite companions.
Olivia is a senior at River Ridge High School. The highest math she has taken is AP Precalculus. Olivia loves working with kids of all ages, and helping to develop their understanding of mathematics. She loves answering the "why" questions kids have math, and encouraging them to ask any math questions they have. After high school she plans to be a cryptology technician in the Air Force, as well as getting her masters in computer science at UNG. Outside of school, Olivia enjoys spending time with her cats, Pippin and Frodo, reading books, and doing volunteer work for her community.
Madison is a junior at Roswell High School. She is currently taking precalculus. Madison enjoys helping students of all ages grasp a better understanding of math while building a connection with them and making it exciting. Madison loves showing students new strategies they can use in solving equations, and seeing their excitement once they have gotten them correct. Though math is Madison’s favorite subject, she hopes to attend the University of Georgia after highschool to be a biology major. Outside of school, Madison enjoys spending time with her friends, family and most especially, her dog. She also enjoys volunteering for her school’s community and has a keen interest in photography.
