Hannah is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Hillsboro. She studied at Portland Community College and earned a degree as a Dental Assistant before discovering her passion for education. Growing up, she often helped her younger siblings with math, developing a love for guiding others through challenging concepts.
Hannah is committed to helping students build confidence and understand math in a way that makes sense. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, gaming, reading, and spending time with her dogs, especially on rainy Oregon days.
Alaina is a lifelong Oregonian who earned her degree in Journalism from Multnomah University. She began her career freelancing before finding her passion for teaching and tutoring. Joining Mathnasium in 2020, she brings creative strategies to help students understand math concepts and see how math connects to their everyday world.
Outside of Mathnasium, Alaina tutors in English, history, and writing. She also enjoys learning new languages, baking, gaming, and writing. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing students grow in confidence as math begins to click.
Bruce holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Lewis & Clark College and studied Actuarial Science at Georgia State University. His career spans pension consulting, healthcare consulting, and national account management. His background also includes tutoring math in college and years of coaching youth basketball.
As a father of three, Bruce is passionate about education and using the Mathnasium Method to build number sense and problem-solving skills. Outside of Mathnasium, he is an accomplished musician who performs locally and has recorded with multiple bands, blending his analytical skills and creativity in unique ways.
Ronan studied Studio Art with a focus in Metalsmithing at Colorado State University and is currently pursuing gemology studies at the GIA. His artistic work often explores geometry and topology, deepening his appreciation for math’s real-world and theoretical applications.
He is passionate about helping students see how math connects to their interests and future goals. Outside of Mathnasium, Ronan enjoys creating art, practicing MMA, playing music, and growing carnivorous plants. His goal is to make math less intimidating and show students how fun and rewarding it can be.
