Grace Peng is the Multi-Center Owner of several Mathnasium locations in Orange County, including Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch and Irvine. Every day, she is committed to creating an effective, engaging, and supportive learning experience where students grow in confidence and build a deep understanding of math.
She leads a team of passionate instructors who provide a nurturing and productive environment for students of all levels. Grace believes in the transformative power of the Mathnasium Method and is always happy to connect with families who want to see their children succeed in math.
Lexie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of California, Irvine. With over eight years of experience teaching the Mathnasium Method, she loves helping students turn fear into fascination and watching their “Aha!” moments light up the room.
Her favorite number is 343, a perfect cube that reminds her of the patterns and beauty found in math. Outside the center, Lexie enjoys attending concerts, going on road trips, spending time at the beach, and baking treats to share with others—a sweet way to combine creativity and joy!
Ann Chiu graduated from University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy. She has enjoyed working with children for many years and finds it rewarding to see their confidence grow as they learn. With a strong background in analytical thinking and problem-solving, she’s excited to help students discover that math can be both understandable and fun. She believes that learning math is not only about solving problems but also about building persistence and critical thinking that carry into everyday life. Her goal is to help each student feel proud of their progress and motivated to keep improving. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring new places, and working out. Her favorite math joke: “Why was six afraid of seven? Because seven eight nine!”
A graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Mathematics, Eric is currently pursuing a single subject teaching credential. Fascinated by the way numbers connect to everything—from art to history—he helps students find those same meaningful patterns in math.
Eric’s favorite number is 3, which he appreciates for its simplicity and balance. He’s also a proud bird owner with a lovebird and a cockatiel, which he jokingly refers to as “modern-day dinosaurs.” Outside of teaching, Eric enjoys drawing and gaming, often using his math knowledge to enhance both hobbies.
Abraham is a Pure Mathematics major at Cal Poly Pomona, focused on Secondary Education. After discovering his passion for math, he switched from Computer Engineering and now loves guiding students toward understanding. He brings experience from robotics, programming, and electrical engineering—and as an Eagle Scout, he’s no stranger to leadership and problem-solving.
His favorite number is 23, a number he associates with personal milestones and mathematical elegance. Outside of Mathnasium, Abraham enjoys working on sports cars, playing video games, and listening to music—balancing logic with creativity in all aspects of his life.
Wyatt Warbiany is a senior at Aliso Niguel High School focusing on physics and calculus as he prepares to study Nuclear Engineering in college. He has a deep interest in atomic physics and power generation, with the long-term goal of operating nuclear reactors. With three years of tutoring experience, Wyatt enjoys finding clear, creative ways to explain challenging concepts and helping students understand the “why” behind the math.
His favorite number is Phi: the golden ratio. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing golf and listening to country music.
Katelyn is a senior at El Toro High School and plans to major in either chemistry or biology after graduation. Throughout high school, her interest in math and science has continued to grow, along with her passion for helping others learn. Katelyn tutors chemistry students on campus and frequently supports her peers and younger siblings with their math coursework.
Her favorite number is 8. Outside of academics, she enjoys playing tennis and practicing the piano, and sewing during her free time.
Aniyah is a senior at Capistrano Valley High School with a strong interest in mathematics and computer science. She has completed several computer science courses and continues to advance her programming skills. Aniyah is actively involved in multiple volunteer organizations, many of which focus on supporting children and giving back to the community. Her passion for helping others learn is what brought her to Mathnasium, where she is excited to contribute to our community of math learners and support students in building confidence and understanding.
Her favorite number is 23. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and building with Legos.
Ivana is a senior at El Toro High School and plans to major in Medical Sciences. She has always enjoyed helping others and hopes to build a career centered around supporting and caring for people. Ivana has tutored math for elementary students and classmates both at school and at the El Toro Public Library, gaining experience in adapting to different learning needs. She is involved in several clubs and volunteer organizations, including Math Honors Society and Mind4Youth. This year, she will serve as the Secretary for the ETHS Math Honors Society.
Ivana's favorite number is 5. Outside of academics, Ivana enjoys building with LEGOs and knitting.
Ashlyn is a senior at Crean Lutheran High School and plans to major in Neurology. Although math has always come naturally to her, she discovered a true passion for the subject—and an even greater love for teaching—when she began volunteer tutoring as a freshman. With three years of tutoring experience, Ashlyn now leads the very club where she first started, serving as President of Math4All, an organization that provides free math tutoring to Title I elementary and middle schools in underserved communities. Her commitment to educational service extends beyond campus as well; she volunteers with organizations such as Breakthrough: San Juan Capistrano to support students in need.
Ashlyn's favorite number is 3. Outside of academics and service, Ashlyn enjoys singing, playing volleyball and pickleball, and spending time with her friends and family.
Shreyasmi is a senior at Trabuco Hills High School and aspires to pursue a career in the medical field. Since childhood, her favorite subjects have been math and science—particularly Geometry and Biology. Shreya enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping students build confidence in their studies. In addition to her strengths in math, she has experience in computer science and has earned awards for her research involving the use of AI in the medical field.
Her favorite numbers are 2 and 5. Outside of academics, Shreya enjoys dancing, playing tennis, building with Legos, cooking, and binge-watching her favorite TV shows.
Isabella is entering her senior year at Portola High School and plans to major in either neuroscience or psychology. She brings a positive, enthusiastic energy to every learning environment and has enjoyed both the challenge of math and the opportunity to help others from a young age. Having faced her own struggles with certain math concepts, Isabella understands the importance of patience, collaboration, and compassion during instruction. She has three years of tutoring experience, including volunteering as a peer tutor at her high school and serving as an online English tutor.
Isabella's favorite number is 11. Outside of academics, Isabella enjoys playing volleyball, singing karaoke, and studying at local cafés.
Nathan Cruz is a senior at Capistrano Valley High School, planning to major in Data Science or Applied Mathematics. He enjoys helping classmates, friends, and siblings with math, and his volunteer experience has strengthened his passion for supporting others’ learning. Nathan brings a patient, encouraging attitude to every interaction, inspiring confidence and curiosity whether he’s tutoring peers or uplifting those around him.
Nathan's favorite number is 12. Outside of academics, Nathan likes to relax with a good video game.
Clarissa Miranda is a first-year student at Saddleback College pursuing a degree in Mathematics. From a young age, she has loved arithmetic and exploring how math concepts apply in the real world, inspiring her goal of teaching math to others. Clarissa has always enjoyed helping friends and classmates with their math homework, and in doing so, discovered gaps in learning that she hopes to address as a future educator. During her senior year of high school, she gained hands-on tutoring experience as a peer mentor for freshmen in Algebra 1.
Clarissa's favorite number is 24. Beyond mathematics, Clarissa enjoys baking and spending time caring for her niece and can also speak Spanish and French.
Aanya Jayadev is a junior at El Toro High School focusing on STEM courses. She has always had a passion for math and competed in math contests when she was younger. With two years of teaching experience and a strong understanding of the student perspective, Aanya enjoys helping others develop their mathematical skills and confidence.
Aanya's favorite number is 21. Outside of academics, she volunteers at a local hospital and enjoys challenging herself by solving Rubik’s cubes.
Allison Castillo Gonzalez is a senior at El Toro High School planning to pursue a degree in Biology. While math did not always come easily to her, she discovered the reward and satisfaction that comes from hard work, which ultimately sparked her love for the subject. Through the National Honor Society, Allison has tutored friends and classmates in both math and science, enjoying the opportunity to share her knowledge and help others succeed.
Her favorite number is 11. Outside of school, she volunteers at her local hospital and enjoys shopping, hiking, and exploring new foods with friends.
Arjun is a first-year student at CSUF studying Accounting with a lifelong love for numbers. Inspired by learning math alongside his grandfather, he hopes to share that same encouragement and enthusiasm with his students. With eight months of experience tutoring math and English, Arjun focuses on helping students build confidence, develop a deeper understanding of concepts, and enjoy the learning process. Known for his patience and positivity, he strives to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
Arjun's favorite number is 5. Outside of academics, Arjun enjoys playing tennis and basketball, bringing the same energy and dedication to every tutoring session.
Anoushka earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Health (Epidemiology) from UC San Diego and is currently pursuing a Medical Writing Certificate. She has loved math since childhood and has taught students from elementary through college, always tailoring her approach to match each student’s unique learning style. Anoushka brings patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for teaching to every session, creating an environment where students feel supported and confident.
Her favorite number is 2 and in her free time, she enjoys cooking, singing and dancing, building LEGOs, and spending quality time with the people she loves.
