  Mathnasium of Lakewood is located at 13050 Louetta Rd., Suite 204, Cypress, TX 77429. You’ll find us in the plaza near popular businesses such as Subway, Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa, and OMG! Donuts & More, which are great for quick errands or a treat during drop-off or pick-up. The center offers ample, easy parking, making your visits simple and stress-free.

• Does Mathnasium of Lakewood offer online tutoring?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Lakewood offers online tutoring via our virtual classroom, Mathnasium@Home.   

  Students who choose to attend online receive live, face-to-face instruction in a fun and supportive group environment, guided by our same caring tutors in Cypress whether they attend online or in person. 

• Is there a difference between online and in-center tutoring?

  No, students receive the same quality of live face-to-face instruction in both formats. Online students follow the same personalized learning plans and work with the same experienced tutors as those who attend sessions in-center. 

• What math classes can your Cypress tutors help with?

  We can support students with any K-12 math class or topic, including arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and more advanced subjects.  

  Our tutors follow personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build foundational skills, improve grades, and gain confidence in math.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Lakewood?

  Mathnasium of Lakewood provides premium value through a flat monthly membership and a one-time enrollment fee.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  No, pricing is the same whether students attend sessions online, in-center, or both.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  The diagnostic assessment serves to identify each student’s current skill level, knowledge gaps, and learning goals, so we can design a plan tailored to their specific needs. 

  Understanding each student’s unique approach to math helps us adjust instruction to their learning style and pace and empower them to unlock their true potential. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Lakewood, we do not follow a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Instead, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques to help students truly understand and even enjoy math. 

  Using this approach, our specially trained math tutors meet students where they are in math and introduce new concepts step-by-step, in a logical sequence.  

  As students begin to close their knowledge gaps and strengthen their foundational skills, math begins to click. They learn new tactics and gradually transform how they think and feel about the subject. 

• Do you work with advanced students or students who are struggling with math?

  Mathnasium of Lakewood works with students of all skill levels, empowering them to unlock their math potential.

Advanced learners benefit from enrichment opportunities designed to keep them engaged by challenging their thinking and introducing them to topics beyond their school curriculum.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Cypress?

  Mathnasium of Lakewood welcomes students from all educational backgrounds, including public, private, charter, and homeschool programs.   

  Homeschooling families love our flexible scheduling options and personalized programs that can adjust to their unique learning goals. 

• Do you help students with their homework?

  Yes, our tutors will set aside time during each session to help students with their homework, ensuring they feel prepared and confident in class. 

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All instruction takes place during sessions, either in-center or online. We do not assign homework outside of the program.

• Does Mathnasium of Lakewood prepare students for math on standardized tests?

  Yes! Mathnasium of Lakewood prepares students for math on standardized exams, including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®.  

  Our test prep includes personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and strategies to build both skills and test-taking confidence, so students perform their best on test day and beyond.
