My daughter, first grade, has been going to Mathnasium since August and I couldn’t be happier with the growth I’ve seen. Her mental math speed and cognition have improved tenfold. She enjoys going and continues to have such a positive experience learning. I’ve seen the skills she has learned at Mathnasium pay off in other aspects of her education as well. The whole staff is wonderful but Breanna is one of a kind. Her ability to connect to any and every kid is amazing to watch. She sees each individual and figures out how to break it down for them to understand. We love her so much and I love the relationship she has fostered with my daughter. I don’t have to force her to go, she loves being there.

I was hesitant to sign my son up for Mathnasium, mostly because he couldn’t get through math homework without crying. We’ve now been there for a month, and he is to the point where he BEGS to go! He begs to go so much that I have to remind him we’re only allowed a certain number of sessions per month. Even with his ADHD, he is able to focus throughout an entire session. We haven’t been there long enough to see measurable results, but math homework at home is noticeably easier. The staff there is also wonderful!

The center has been very helpful for my child to catch up with school and improve his math skills. The summer program is filled with fun games that my child has enjoyed.

We've been with Mathnasium for a full year now, and I finally feel ready to share a thorough review. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and it's been great to watch how the program has grown and adapted to meet kids where they are academically. When we first started, students had to work through each grade level sequentially, which wasn't ideal for kids like my daughter. She was in third grade but working on both first-grade and third-grade concepts at the same time. I’m glad to say that Mathnasium recognized this and made adjustments. During the school year, they now help students with current schoolwork while still addressing foundational gaps. Over the summer, she was able to shift focus and rebuild core skills in a more flexible way. Even during the school year, those foundations are continuously reinforced, which I really appreciate. They’ve also improved their scheduling system, making it more convenient. My only suggestion would be to offer sessions at staggered times—like 3:30 or 4:30—instead of just on the hour. That would provide a bit more flexibility for families with tight schedules. Another positive change has been the introduction of daily session updates. Since I’m not always the one dropping off or picking up, I find these updates incredibly helpful. One feature I’d love to see added is a summary of how many reward tickets a student has. As a parent, it’s nice to be aware—especially since my daughter is saving up for a Roblox gift card instead of spending her tickets on candy! It would also be helpful to have visibility into staff changes. While turnover hasn’t been high, knowing when there are new instructors helps us understand the different teaching styles our children may experience. Additionally, they provide a monthly calendar; if there were a way for parents to access that easily, it would be a great resource. Most importantly, I’ve seen real growth in my daughter’s math skills. Her mental math has improved significantly. She’s capable of so much (though she can be a bit stubborn—no fault of the instructors!). The staff has been incredibly patient and effective in meeting her where she is, without pushing her to the point of frustration. I am very happy with my 8th grader’s and 11th grader’s experience at Mathnasium. They both actually enjoy going—they definitely don’t dread it. My 8th grade son has been attending longer than my 11th grade daughter, and he’s gained confidence. I know the guided practice he receives at Mathnasium will help him with his Geometry EOC.

We have had a very positive experience at Lake Oswego Mathnasium with both of our kids. Anthony has been an excellent instructor for our son, he makes the math fun, really gets our son excited about the things he’s working on, and has him looking forward to the next session. Our son always comments that Anthony is his favorite instructor, he is an incredible teacher and we feel to lucky to have him to teach our kids. Mathnasium has been a great way to get our kids engaged and excited about math. They are already asking about coming back in August as they both have felt it really benefits them getting a refresher before the school year starts. Both of my kids continue to excel at math, but still request to come to Mathnasium because they think it’s so much fun. Our daughter who will be an eighth grader next year remembers many of the lessons she was taught, and in school when something doesn’t make sense, she would always tell us “It it is so much easier the way they explain it at Mathnasium.” I highly recommend sending your kids here, I can’t say enough positive things about our experience.

My son needed help with algebra 2 exam that he fell behind because of high school baseball time commitments. He accommodated my sons schedule, his current students tutoring needs and made it work. My son likes his style of teaching and we will be utilizing his services moving forward. I highly recommend his services.

Three of my children have gone though the program, the fourth is starting soon. Mathnasium builds a very strong foundation for math concepts and focuses on understanding concepts not just memorization. Kids end up ahead of their peers and find learning math at school easier. I highly recommend the program. The staff is welcoming, kind and always helpful.

My daughter Emma has been going to Mathnasium, and it’s helped her so much! She was very behind when she started, but now she’s beginning to truly understand math and feel more confident in herself. Mathnasium of Mount Pleasant has helped my rising 5th grade daughter tremendously! My daughter started attending Mathnasium in 4th grade, due to receiving a lot of low grades in Math. After a few weeks of going to Mathnasium, she started bringing home A’s and B’s in math, and even scored a 105 on one of her math tests! The tutors there are absolutely amazing, and they have really given my daughter the confidence she has needed for a while. She has continued going to tutoring over the Summer, and she really enjoys it. Mathnasium has honestly been a blessing, and we are beyond thankful for their successful time with my daughter. You guys are absolutely THE BEST!!!

This review is well over due all the tutors and the center directors all are great …..but what I must say is one tutor that Hayden look forward to seeing all the time is Kasey B. (Hayden enjoys everyone ) but he talks and raves about Kasey B. All the time , I want to take this time to acknowledge the entire Mathnasium team for the dedications of ensuring the kids are getting and retaining the information Hayden loves math but this gives him the motivation to keep going ! Huge shout out to eveyone but Kasey B. Know that you make a difference is my sons life with just and hour he thinks your really cool 😎 and smart !!! Our experience with Mathnasium has been fantastic. Since starting the program, our daughter has grown so much in her math skills and in her confidence. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping each student succeed. What really stands out is how they tailor the learning plan to fit each child’s needs and make sure concepts are fully understood before moving on. Our daughter actually enjoys going to her sessions, which says a lot. We have seen noticeable improvement in both her school performance and her attitude toward math. I highly recommend Mathnasium to any parent looking for a supportive and effective tutoring program.

I would highly recommend this center for math support and enrichment. Our 7 year old daughter has advanced, as demonstrated on her MAP testing and everyday application. She really connects well with her instructors and they have found ways to motivate and incentivize her, even while doing sessions remotely. The instructors are engaging and patient and really care. They were able to keep her focus for a full hour even even when she started at the age of 5 (almost 6). I have had great interactions with the center directors as well. They are very accommodating and passionate about what they do. I appreciate how they have helped my daughter build her mathematics confidence and knowledge to above grade level.
