Husam is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Mercer Island. Before opening his center, he held leadership roles in product and program management at companies such as SMART Technologies, AirTies Networks, and GTE, where he specialized in bringing innovative technologies to market.
A lifelong math enthusiast, Husam is passionate about helping students learn math in a way that truly makes sense to them. He holds a B.Sc. with Special Honors in Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull (UK) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys running and coaching boys’ soccer on Mercer Island.
Gamze earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Arizona State University, where she was a U.S. Fulbright Doctoral Scholar. With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, she holds six patents, numerous awards, and multiple publications.
Her passion for math began in high school when she placed third in a nationwide math competition in Turkey. Today, she brings that same enthusiasm to helping students overcome their fear of math. Married with two sons, Gamze enjoys watercolor painting in her free time.
