Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Gabby

Math Instructor

Gabby is a senior at Desert Ridge High School, where she maintains a 4.5 GPA while leading clubs like AVID and NHS. She’s passionate about math and believes learning comes from trying, failing, and trying again.

With experience tutoring since middle school, Gabby uses a patient, step-by-step approach to make math approachable. Outside of academics, she enjoys writing poetry, collecting Squishmallows, and listening to ’80s music. She runs a humorous Instagram account with over 65,000 followers and loves the color forest green. Her favorite math joke: “What do you call guys who love math? Algebros.”

Marc

Math Instructor

Marc is currently a candidate for a masters degree in psychology at Arizona State University’s West Valley campus. Prior to starting his masters he completed his undergraduate at ASU also, majoring in psychology and minoring in counseling.

Marc believes in meeting students where they are and helping them grow through patience, support, and individualized instruction. At Mathnasium, he enjoys watching students develop both their skills and confidence in math. Outside the classroom, Marc spends time hiking, reading, and playing games. He also enjoys spending time with his cat Aerith. Fun fact: as an undergraduate Marc completed and went on to publish his own research in the British Journal of Clinical Psychology as first author.

JC

Math Instructor
JC has been an instructor at Mathnasium for five years and has loved every second of it. Working with others has always been a passion of his, and using that very same passion to help students grow their math skills is a joy to him.
JC spent 5 years in college and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Robotics engineering from ASU's Polytechnic campus. Outside of Mathnasium, JC enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active, and listening to music. His favorite math joke: Why did the chicken cross the Möbius strip? To get to the same side.

Alex

Math Instructor
Alex graduated from Gilbert High school in 2024 and currently attends Arizona State University for a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering. Alex's educational philosophy is simple: as long as you try your hardest and put in as much effort as you can, anything is achievable. Alex is passionate about being an instructor at Mathnasium because he enjoys when he is able to teach others about subjects that he is most passionate about. He enjoys math and science. Favorite math joke: What type of plants does math grow? Ones with square roots. Alex enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and watching sports.
