Violet is the Managing Director at Mathnasium of Northridge and graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in Psychology and Cinema and Television Arts. Her strong educational background and genuine love for working with children help her connect with students on both a personal and academic level.
She believes every child can succeed in math with the right guidance and encouragement. Violet’s warmth and enthusiasm create a caring, positive environment where students feel confident to grow. Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and sports.
Fun Fact: She speaks Tagalog!

Sumedha graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in Computer Information Technology. She has a sharp analytical mind and a patient, encouraging approach that helps students thrive.
She loves engaging with learners, helping them strengthen their math skills, and guiding them toward greater confidence. In her free time, Sumedha enjoys drawing, traveling, and exploring new places.
Fun Fact: She is multilingual. She can speak Hindi, Punjabi and English.

Alex is studying Statistics at California State University of Northridge. He is studying to become an Actuary! His excitement for problem-solving and supportive teaching style make him a favorite among students.
He loves helping kids build confidence and discover the fun in learning math. Outside of work, Alex enjoys video games and playing guitar.
Fun Fact: He mods Guitar Hero guitars!

Alex graduated from UCLA with a degree in Applied Mathematics. His structured, step-by-step teaching style helps students build both understanding and confidence in math.
He enjoys creating a supportive learning environment where students can see their progress. When he’s not teaching, Alex loves gaming, Marvel movies, going to Wetzel Pretzels, and solving puzzles.
Fun Fact: He can even solve a Rubik’s Cube!

Reuben is a Computer Science major at College of the Canyons. He brings great energy and focus to the classroom, making math fun and approachable for all ages.
He’s especially passionate about helping students stay motivated and confident as they progress. Outside Mathnasium, Reuben enjoys soccer, fitness, travel, and video games.
Fun Fact: He can ride a unicycle!

Savannah is currently attending San Diego State University, where she is studying medical physics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physics from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
She enjoys helping students deepen their understanding of math by exploring different ways to solve problems and building their confidence along the way. Outside of Mathnasium, Savannah likes hiking, crocheting, and watching TV shows.
Fun Fact: She has tried over five different dance styles!

Alex R, also known as Reilly, graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in Math - Secondary Teaching. His strong understanding of higher level mathematics helps him to work especially well with our high school students.
His passion for math is only outweighed by his passion for helping people. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys playing video games, playing pick-up basketball on the weekends, and spending time with friends and family.
Fun Fact: He has swam with dolphins and slept with sharks.

Shanti is currently attending CSUN, where they are majoring in Applied Mathematical Sciences. She enjoys helping students grow more confident in their math abilities, especially by boosting their morale and celebrating their progress.
Outside of Mathnasium, she loves playing 8-ball, listening to music, and answering math questions on Instagram Reels.
Fun Fact: Calculus is her favorite field of mathematics!

Eric is studying Electrical Engineering at Pasadena City College. He loves engaging with students to build a positive relationship with the students but also, so that the students can build a positive relationship with math.
Eric has a lot of interests outside of math. In his free time, he loves to play many instruments and also plays a different sport almost every day of the week. Eric was also born in Korea, making him fluent in Korean.
Fun Fact: He can throw a baseball around 85 mph!

Joshua is currently looking to transfer to Biola University to finish his studies in Master of Divinity with a focus on pastoral care and counseling. He earned his bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
He has always worked hard in serving the youth and that remains no different here in Mathnasium. With his friendly attitude that makes him easy to approach and big heart to care for the next generation, he creates an encouraging atmosphere for students to not only excel in their learning but also enjoy it. Joshua enjoys solving riddles, going bowling, and being in places with nice scenery.
Fun Fact: Josh is a youth pastor at InChrist Community Church!

Emily is currently attending California State University, Northridge where she is double majoring in Urban Planning and Accounting. She enjoys connecting with students, which helps them to feel comfortable and open to learning.
Her passion for sharing the fundamental knowledge of math ensures that students know how and why to solve problems and they can carry those skills through their everyday lives. Outside of Mathnasium, Emily enjoys crocheting, sewing, and making tea and juice drinks.

Valentino is currently attending California State University, Northridge, where he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He loves math and enjoys helping students discover confidence and excitement in the subject. His goal is to help every student find a way to enjoy math.
Outside of math, Valentino loves playing sports, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
Fun Fact: He has a city championship in track and field!

James is currently attending California State University Northridge, and brings a creative spark to the center in his role as Inventory Manager, or as we like to say, "Fun" specialist. With a talent for capturing the personalities and moments that make Mathnasium special, James helps showcase the heart of the center through engaging content and lively student interactions.
He’s passionate about creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere and finding fun, meaningful ways to celebrate students’ growth and individuality. James is also the curator of Mathnasium Northridge's various rewards in the Reward Cabinet! Whenever there's a special or specific reward the students request, James is on the case.
Outside of Mathnasium, James enjoys music, filmmaking, and building GUNDAM models—channeling both creativity and precision in everything he does.

As the owner of the Northridge Mathnasium, Alex's mission is simple: to help your child develop a deep understanding and love for math. Alex's background is well-versed across numerous fields and professions, learning that every person has the innate potential to succeed in any field they put their minds to; here at the Northridge location, Alex and his team simply unlock it.
At Mathnasium, Alex partners with families and local schools to ensure each student receives a customized learning plan tailored to their needs, helping them not only improve their grades but gain a lifelong appreciation for math. Whether your child is struggling with math or seeking advanced enrichment, Alex and his team are here to support and inspire their journey to success.
Outside of Mathnasium, Alex enjoys his time hiking and running the trails of Los Angeles. A self-proclaimed foodie, he's always on the lookout for the best sushi and Korean barbeque spots around!
