Center Director
Kiran holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Washington, where she graduated with honors. A lifelong math enthusiast, she brings both teaching experience and a passion for community service to her role.
She previously taught math at Wilder Elementary in the Lake Washington School District and currently serves as Treasurer and board member for AlSadaqa, a nonprofit aiding underserved communities in the Puget Sound area. Kiran believes every child can succeed in math when given the right tools and guidance, and she’s proud to bring that vision to life through the Mathnasium Method.
Joy
Sr. Instructor
Joy has more than eight years of experience tutoring science subjects and three years as a paraeducator in the Lake Washington School District. She holds a Bachelor's in Biochemistry and a Master’s in Education from Seattle Pacific University. Joy enjoys making complex topics feel approachable and fun, helping students gain confidence in problem-solving. She especially loves seeing students succeed after overcoming personal hurdles with math.
Outside of Mathnasium, Joy serves as a forest steward with the Green Kirkland Partnership and enjoys combining her love of learning and nature to give back to the community.

Tyler graduated from the University of Washington, Bothell, with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Education. While in college, he taught a course in video game design, sparking his passion for education.
Tyler enjoys connecting with students and helping them engage with math through real-world applications and creative problem-solving. His favorite part of teaching is seeing students gain confidence and discover new ways to approach challenges. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys photography, origami, and exploring his interests in both STEM and the arts.
