• Where is Mathnasium of San Clemente located?

  Mathnasium of San Clemente is located in Ocean View Plaza just off the 5 (San Diego Freeway). We’re right next to Starbucks and in the same shopping center as Ralphs, Trader Joe’s, and other family-friendly spots. Our center is easily accessible with convenient parking and a welcoming atmosphere for families. 

  We proudly serve students from San Clemente, including Capistrano Beach, Marblehead, and Rancho San Clemente. Local schools include:

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of San Clemente provides both in-center and online tutoring. Whether attending in person or online, students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Students who attend online sessions receive the same quality of instruction, customized learning plans, and caring support as they would in our center. The learning experience is seamless and effective across both formats.

• What math classes can your San Clemente tutors help with?

  We help students learn and master any K–12 math class or topic, from early arithmetic to Algebra, Geometry, and beyond. 

  Our specially trained math tutors in San Clemente build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and improve academic performance in math.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of San Clemente?

  We offer math-only tutoring through a flat monthly membership with no long-term contracts. Most students benefit from attending 2–3 sessions per week. During your free assessment, we’ll help determine the best learning plan for your student.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of San Clemente?

  No. Membership fees are the same whether students attend online, in person, or through a hybrid format.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of San Clemente?

  Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skill level, identify learning gaps, and define their academic goals. These insights allow us to create a personalized learning plan tailored to their needs.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of San Clemente, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven teaching techniques. 

  Building upon what the student already knows, we add new concepts gradually, breaking them down into manageable steps to help them fill in their knowledge gaps, develop solid foundational skills, and even transform how they think and feel about math.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes! We work with students at all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

  Students who are struggling with math benefit from personalized instruction and confidence-building support.  

  Advanced learners enjoy personalized enrichment programs and opportunities to deepen their understanding and challenge their thinking.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in San Clemente?

  Yes, we support students from all educational backgrounds, including homeschool, public, and private school families throughout San Clemente and nearby communities.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All learning takes place during sessions with our specially trained tutors. We do not assign additional homework, allowing students to stay focused and make real progress while they’re with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We help students prepare for standardized and school-based math tests, including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep includes personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and proven strategies to build both skill and confidence.
