Ishaan is a senior at BASIS Phoenix High School. He’s always been drawn to the logical elegance of math and enjoys the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving challenging problems. For over ten years, he’s been playing the piano, finding it a great creative outlet and a way to unwind. Outside of Mathnasium, he tutors middle schoolers at his school’s late bird program. Whether he's explaining a tricky concept or watching a student have that “aha” moment, Ishaan finds deep fulfillment in guiding others. It's this sense of impact that continues to inspire his commitment to teaching.
Roopesh graduated early in the top 1% of his class and is now a Pre-Med freshman, working toward his goal of becoming a doctor. He’s always appreciated the clarity and confidence that come from mastering math and enjoys helping students experience those same “aha” moments.
Outside the classroom, Roopesh plays pickleball and enjoys the violin and piano as a creative balance to his studies. He’s also completed over 700 hours of volunteer work with organizations including Banner Health and Cholla Library, and finds fulfillment in making a positive impact in his community.
Damien is a junior at Sandra Day O’Connor High School who has always enjoyed helping others, regardless of the subject. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, catching up, and creating new memories together. This same enthusiasm carries over to his work at Mathnasium, where he enjoys supporting students in their learning while building meaningful connections with them. Seeing students grow and succeed continues to inspire him to teach and create more positive experiences along the way.
Klara is a junior at Mountain Ridge. She enjoys working through complex problems and watching each part of the math equation come together. In her free time Klara likes to hang out with friends and play piano. Working at mathnasium she hopes to make math easier for kids who struggle with it.
Veda is a senior at BASIS Phoenix and will be attending a BS/MD Program next year. She loves teaching and helping other students find their own strengths in math problems. In her free time, Veda loves playing the clarinet, reading, and volunteering. It’s her ability to connect with students that fuels her love for teaching others.
