Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Roopesh N

Instructor

Roopesh graduated early in the top 1% of his class and is now a Pre-Med freshman, working toward his goal of becoming a doctor. He’s always appreciated the clarity and confidence that come from mastering math and enjoys helping students experience those same “aha” moments.

Outside the classroom, Roopesh plays pickleball and enjoys the violin and piano as a creative balance to his studies. He’s also completed over 700 hours of volunteer work with organizations including Banner Health and Cholla Library, and finds fulfillment in making a positive impact in his community.

Damien S

Instructor

Damien is a junior at Sandra Day O’Connor High School who has always enjoyed helping others, regardless of the subject. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, catching up, and creating new memories together. This same enthusiasm carries over to his work at Mathnasium, where he enjoys supporting students in their learning while building meaningful connections with them. Seeing students grow and succeed continues to inspire him to teach and create more positive experiences along the way.

Klara D

Instructor

Klara is a junior at Mountain Ridge. She enjoys working through complex problems and watching each part of the math equation come together. In her free time Klara likes to hang out with friends and play piano. Working at mathnasium she hopes to make math easier for kids who struggle with it.

Veda M

Instructor

Veda is a senior at BASIS Phoenix and will be attending a BS/MD Program next year. She loves teaching and helping other students find their own strengths in math problems. In her free time, Veda loves playing the clarinet, reading, and volunteering. It’s her ability to connect with students that fuels her love for teaching others.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
