Beckah is an experienced Center Director with a passion for math, art, and helping students across Baltimore City and County thrive. She holds a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and Illustration and was drawn to Mathnasium for its mission to help students truly understand and excel in math.
She brings fun to her sessions by connecting lessons to games, whether video, board, or trading card games like Pokémon or Magic: The Gathering. Beckah believes learning math can be both exciting and engaging, and she’s proud to lead a team that makes it possible.
James brings extensive Mathnasium experience to his role overseeing center operations, including @Home learning. With an academic background in pre-med and engineering, he combines a deep appreciation of math with a passion for helping students succeed.
He believes math is at the core of everyday life, from smartphones to scientific discovery, and loves helping students connect those dots. Seeing students grow in confidence and skill brings him joy, and he believes today’s learners can become tomorrow’s innovators through the power of math.
Barry and Kathryn Fausnaugh have owned and operated Mathnasium centers since 2012 and are dedicated to the success of students at Mathnasium of Towson. Barry holds a B.S. in Information Systems Management from UMGC, and Kathryn has a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and was a licensed CPA (inactive).
After successful careers in IT and consulting, they turned to Mathnasium to support families struggling with math. As parents themselves, they know the value of strong math skills and believe kids can not only succeed in math but grow to love it too.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
