Marlene leads the team at Mathnasium of Tustin and brings a passion for math education and student success. A USC graduate and former IT consultant for Accenture, she combines technical expertise with years of experience supporting students of all ages.
Marlene is dedicated to helping every child truly understand math in a way that makes sense to them. Outside of the center, she enjoys spending time with her two children, George and Danielle, and supporting their academic and personal growth.
Larry Martinek has devoted his career to improving how math is taught. He has served as a classroom teacher and educational consultant, developing curricula and strategies that help students understand math more deeply.
Larry created the Mathnasium Method™, one of the most comprehensive math education systems ever designed. While not an instructor at this center, Larry offers guidance that supports students' success and enhances the learning environment.
Parisa holds a Master’s degree in Physics from Sharif University of Technology. She has over 10 years of experience teaching math and physics and more than five years within the Mathnasium system.
She enjoys exploring how students think about math and using real-life examples to boost their understanding and confidence. Outside of work, Parisa enjoys photography, backgammon, nature hikes, and spending time with friends and family.
Alex joined Mathnasium in 2021 and brings a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. He earned degrees in Biological Sciences and History from UC Irvine and a Master’s in Clinical Research.
Alex enjoys working with students of all ages and is committed to helping them understand math concepts with clarity. In his free time, he enjoys reading, swimming, and biking with his wife, Marie.
Darya was a Mathnasium student for over six years before becoming an instructor. A Beckman High graduate, she is now studying Biology at UCI and brings a student-focused perspective to her teaching.
She enjoys working with students of all ages, especially young learners, and loves helping them grow in both math skills and confidence. Outside of the center, Darya enjoys swimming and spending time with friends and family.
