Annette has been teaching math for 25 years at every level, from elementary to adult GED classes. She’s certified in Math, Special Education, and Technology Applications and holds a Master’s in Instructional Leadership. At Mathnasium, she focuses on meeting students where they are, helping them understand math at their own pace, and building lasting confidence.

Sayo is an Instructor at Mathnasium and a senior at Bishop Gorman High School who excels in upper-level math courses, including AP Calculus and AP Pre-Calculus. With experience in peer tutoring across subjects like math and government, Sayo enjoys helping students build confidence and achieve success. Outside of Mathnasium, Sayo stays active through volleyball and track, enjoys reading, volunteering in the ER, shadowing healthcare professionals, and spending time with friends.

Carl studied Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M and spent more than 35 years working as a product and production engineer before transitioning to teaching high school math. At Mathnasium, he enjoys helping students of all ages develop a deeper understanding of math concepts and grow in confidence.
Outside of the center, Carl volunteers at a therapeutic equestrian facility supporting kids and Veterans and enjoys staying active through tennis. He loves the variety of topics and personalities he encounters at Mathnasium, which make every teaching day unique and rewarding.
Vincent Jarrett
Instructor
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&I University in Kingsville and is certified to teach secondary math. With 31 years of classroom experience, he brings both expertise and empathy. Having struggled with math himself, he knows how important patience, encouragement, and persistence can be for students.
Vincent’s goal is to make every student feel capable and supported as they build their math skills. His favorite math joke: “How many sides does a circle have? Two—the inside and the outside.” He finds joy in watching students’ confidence grow as they begin to truly understand math.
