Tunbridge Wells Student’s Achievement Adds Up to Maths Success
A Tunbridge Wells student who once struggled with maths confidence has made remarkable progress after receiving personalised support from Mathnasium Tunbridge Wells.
Mathnasium, a leader in maths-only education with learning centres across the UK, including in Worcester, has helped 9-year-old Amelie develop her confidence and attainment in maths since she joined in 2025.
Mark Braithwaite, Centre Director, Mathnasium Tunbridge Wells confirmed; “Amelie joined Mathnasium Tunbridge Wells in 2025. Since starting to do more maths at school, like many pupils, Amelie found maths increasingly difficult. Amelie was working about 1-2 years behind where she should be and found the teaching methods at school confusing.
“We worked with Amelie to create a tailored learning plan designed to identify and close gaps in her knowledge. Amelie enrolled with our flexible enrolment and initially attending most days receiving personalised tuition to suit her individual needs.”
Amelie’s mum Kelda commented: “The tutors at Mathnasium have found ways to explain things to Amelie in a way that she understands. Their patience and encouragement have had such a positive impact.”
Amelie is now working at the expected level in Maths and her confidence at working independently has grown hugely.
Kelda continued: “We can’t thank all the team at Mathnasium enough for what a positive impact they have had on Amelie. Not just in improving her Maths understanding, but on a personal level. Her confidence has grown so much since starting at Mathnasium, even the school has commented in amazement at the difference!”
