Mathnasium Began With the Realisation That There's a Better Way To Teach Maths

Mathnasium Kings Heath is by far the best maths tutoring centre we have tried in Birmingham. The teachers are excellent, highly organised, and make learning maths enjoyable for children. My 7-year-old son loves attending and has become much more confident in his abilities. The rewards and games at the end keep him motivated and excited to learn. Highly recommended!

I researched and the trial sessions at most of the centres in our local area. So that was about five of them. I have to say we chose this centre specifically because of Fiona and Shane and how they were attentive to what we wanted out of the lessons for our son. They have not let us down. My son loves going to his lessons and Shane and Fiona give him the time that he needs which is fantastic. He’s so motivated and proud of his improvements in maths. This centre works because of its People they are absolutely fantastic.

I am so happy that I found out about Mathsnasium. My son got a free,one hour assessment in which we got the opportunity to see all of his strengths and gaps that had appeared in his learning. His confidence was also low which was sad to see. During the two months that we have attended so far I have not only seen an improvement in his maths but also in his confidence and maturity. He is proud of his work and loves the tutors, all of whome are friendly knowledgeable and so encouraging. He particularly likes Tayo. Edward has been amazing at taking time to talk with me and I have had regular updates and opportunities to ask questions and get progress reports. I cannot recommend Mathsnasium highly enough. I will upload videos and pics at my son's next session on Saturday.

We decided to send our daughter to Mathnasium when she began to say she didn't like maths. It was the best decision we made as it wasn't long before we noticed the change. Maths is now being brought into everyday conversation and she's excited to share what she's learnt (although sometimes this includes maths questions and explanations last thing at night or first thing in the morning!). We've also seen an improvement in her results at school. She happily skips off to maths 3 times a week because the team at Mathnasium is fantastic!

Mathnasium Richmond has been a wonderful experience for our son. The team has created a welcoming and engaging learning environment that has helped build both his confidence and enthusiasm for maths. A special mention to Shane and Dylan, who have been fantastic throughout. Their support, encouragement and genuine interest in our son's progress have made a real difference and have helped keep him motivated and enjoying the sessions. The team initially helped him catch up when he was struggling with elements of the Year 5 curriculum, before supporting him through his 11+ preparation. They have since continued to guide him through SATs preparation, providing consistency and encouragement at every stage of his learning journey. One aspect we've particularly appreciated as busy working parents is the flexibility of the booking system. Being able to vary session times from week to week, and even book on the same day when needed, has made it so much easier to fit lessons around work commitments and the ever-changing schedule of children's activities. We're very pleased with the progress we've seen so far and would highly recommend Mathnasium Richmond to any family looking for extra maths support.

Tara and her team have delivered excellent results in just a few months. My son has gone from a prelim D grade to an A grade in his recent exam results. This could not have been achieved without the outstanding tuition provided by Tara and the team. The twice weekly one to one sessions allowed my son to focus and consolidate his learning on the topics he found challenging. The assessment and progress reports provided an accurate insight to the work that needed to be done. My son was happy and motivated to attend sessions. This was due to the friendly and welcoming environment which was consistent throughout. I would have no hesitation recommending Tara and her team!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are extremely happy with our experience at Mathnasium. Madhav’s GCSE Maths grade improved by two whole grades, which is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the support he received there. Raj and Reney, who runs the centre, and all the tutors are incredibly helpful, friendly and supportive. What impressed me most is how they understand each student individually and tailor their teaching to their particular needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Most importantly, Madhav genuinely loved going to his sessions. He actually started enjoying and loving Maths again, which for me is just as important as the improvement in his grade. I’m so happy that we found Mathnasium and would highly recommend them to other parents. My only wish is that they offered A-Level Maths sessions as well — if they did, I would definitely have continued sending Madhav there for his A-Levels! My daughter’s confidence has improved beyond expectation since she started Mathnasium. The best part is that she loves going and never finds it a chore. Salima is very warm and gets to know all the children and families personally. I will continue to recommend Mathnasium to my friends.

My child has attended mathnasium for over year and we’re really impressed with how our their confidence has grown. Lessons focus on strong numerical fluency and foundations, which has really helped when starting to approach more stretchy topics. Tutors do a great job of supporting each child and creating a fun and focused learning environment. We also found the star card incentive scheme really helps maintain enthusiasm and frequency of visits.
