• Where is Mathnasium of Midlothian located?

  Mathnasium of Midlothian is located at 15604 Westchester Commons Way, in the Westchester Commons Shopping Center at the intersection of Route 288 and Midlothian Turnpike. You’ll find us next to McAlister’s Deli and Which Wich, with plenty of parking and convenient access for families in the area.

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of Midlothian offers both in-center and online tutoring. Students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment, whether they attend in person or online.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Online sessions provide the same quality of live, face-to-face instruction, personalized learning plans, and group-based support that students experience during in-center sessions with our caring tutors.

• What math classes can your Midlothian tutors help with?

  We work with students in grades K–12 across a wide range of math classes and topics—from early childhood math and foundational arithmetic to Algebra and Geometry.

  We offer math-only tutoring through a flat monthly membership with no long-term contracts. Most students benefit from attending 2–3 sessions per week. We’ll determine the best learning plan for your student during a free assessment.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of Midlothian?

  No. Our membership fees are the same whether your child attends online, in person, or through a hybrid schedule.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Midlothian?

  Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment to help us understand their current skill level, identify knowledge gaps, and learn more about their goals. These insights allow us to create a personalized learning plan tailored to their needs.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Midlothian, we don’t follow a traditional curriculum. Instead, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that blends structure with personalization. 

  Building upon what the student already knows, we add new concepts gradually, breaking them down into manageable steps to fill in their knowledge gaps, develop solid foundational skills, and even transform how they think and feel about math.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes. We work with students at all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

  Students who are struggling with math will receive targeted instruction to build true understanding and confidence, while advanced learners will benefit from enrichment that extends their skills and deepens their engagement with math.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Midlothian?

  Yes. We welcome homeschooled students in grades K–12, as well as students from public and private schools throughout Midlothian and Chesterfield.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors set aside time during sessions to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All instruction takes place during sessions with our specially trained tutors. We do not assign homework, allowing students to stay focused and make progress while they are with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We help students prepare for standardized and school-based math assessments, including state exams, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep includes personalized learning plans, targeted review, and strategies to build confidence and skills necessary for success on test day.
