Larry Martinek is the creator of the Mathnasium Method™, a proven approach to teaching math that builds number sense and deep understanding. With over 40 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and father, Larry sought a better way to help kids truly understand and enjoy math.
His method meets students where they are and guides them step by step, making math make sense. Larry’s legacy lives on in every Mathnasium center, where his vision continues to help students develop strong math skills and lifelong confidence.
Our team includes certified teachers, top college students, skilled retirees, and exceptional high schoolers. Every instructor completes rigorous training, teaching assessments, and background checks before joining the team.
