Judy is the owner of Mathnasium of Walnut and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development along with a Professional Teaching Credential. Before opening her center, she taught as a Certified Elementary School Teacher and also worked as a National Account Sales Executive. Her experience spans teaching multiple subjects, including math, to managing client relationships on a national scale.
Judy is passionate about helping children in Walnut and surrounding communities truly understand math in a way that makes sense to them. She loves coaching, encouraging, and inspiring students to reach their full potential through the Mathnasium Method™.
Jonathan graduated from UC Riverside with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Studies and Language & Linguistics. He has always enjoyed teaching and helping others, tutoring peers and students in various subjects over the years. While he appreciates many disciplines, math and history are his favorites.
Jonathan looks forward to making a positive impact on Mathnasium students by fostering both understanding and confidence. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends.
Kat, short for Kristin, graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She has worked as a private tutor for students of all ages and in all subjects before finding her place at Mathnasium.
Known for her approachable nature and commitment to helping students succeed, Kat enjoys guiding learners toward a deeper understanding of concepts. Her dedication makes her a valued part of the Mathnasium of Walnut team.
Brian graduated from Shadow Hills High School in 2020 and plans to begin classes at Mt. San Antonio College soon. He has been passionate about math since childhood, often helping classmates with lessons as early as elementary school.
Since graduating, Brian has continued tutoring privately, enjoying the opportunity to help others succeed. In his free time, he likes reading and playing video games. His favorite part of Mathnasium is seeing students’ smiles when they arrive at the center.
Melia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. She tutored peers throughout high school and college and has always been fascinated by math.
She hopes to one day work in a space-related career, but for now, she enjoys helping Mathnasium students grow their skills. Outside of work, Melia loves reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and her cat.
Sabah is currently majoring in aerospace engineering at Cal Poly Pomona and is pursuing a minor in astrophysics and materials engineering. Sabah has always enjoyed learning and teaching math from a young age because she loves working and communicating with numbers. Her dream is to work as an aerospace engineer in an astro-dominant field. Sabah is always up for a spontaneous adventure. In her free time, Sabah loves to spend time with family and friends, traveling, reading webtoons, and consuming dumplings (her favorite pastime). Working at Mathnasium has been one of the best decisions Sabah has made and she always looks forward to working with her coworkers and the students at Mathnasium.
Dana graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. She loves helping students overcome challenges in understanding math concepts by building on their strengths and addressing their weak points. Dana views math as an intriguing lens through which to perceive the world around us. Despite her academic background, Dana has a long-term interdisciplinary interest in pursuing a more biology-oriented career. In her free time, she engages in a variety of hobbies, including: table tennis, mycology, chess, traveling and exploring cuisines from diverse cultures, playing pool, and creating digital art.
