At Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East, our specially trained instructors use the Mathnasium Method™ to help children make sense of maths, not just memorise it. This proprietary teaching approach combines personalised learning plans with mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques, meeting each child exactly where they are on their maths journey.
We focus on building the foundation for lasting maths mastery, including critical thinking and problem-solving skills, that will serve the student in the classroom and beyond.
Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East's specially trained instructors work with students from Reception through to GCSE at our centre in Broughton Gate, or online via Mathnasium@home.
Sessions take place in a caring and fun group environment, where each child receives individual, face-to-face instruction guided by their own personalised learning plan.
Every child at Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East begins their journey with a diagnostic assessment, giving us an accurate picture of what they already know and where the gaps are.
From that picture, we build a personalised learning plan that closes knowledge gaps in the right order, so each new topic sits on solid ground rather than papering over what came before.

Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East is a maths-only learning centre specialising in personalised instruction that delivers results. We proudly serve families from:
Specially Trained and Caring Team
Rajvinder Kaur
Centre Manager
Before taking the reins as Centre Manager, Raj spent years in insurance, so she knows a thing or two about numbers that really matter. She's swapped policies for problem-solving, bringing the same sharp eye for detail to running the centre and helping students build real maths confidence. Organised, approachable, and always keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
René Scholtz
Centre Manager
René swapped a career in finance for something even more rewarding, watching students go from "I just don't get it" to genuinely loving maths. As owner of the centre, he's just as likely to be found mentoring an instructor as he is celebrating a student's breakthrough moment. Sharp with numbers, driven by the mission, and still gets a kick out of every "aha!" he sees.
Ismail Ali
Assistant Centre Manager
Ismail swapped writing code for cracking equations, bringing a computer science graduate's love of logic (and the odd cheeky algorithm joke) to every session. He's brilliant at breaking problems down into bite-sized steps, whether it's fractions or functions. When he's not debugging a maths mistake, he's probably debugging actual code.
Haile Asres
Instructor
Haile has a strong foundation in applied mathematics and has many years of teaching programming and data analysis!
Adam Knight
Lead Instructor
Adam brings a wealth of experience working with SEN students, so he's a dab hand at finding the approach that clicks for every learner, whatever their starting point. Patient, encouraging, and endlessly good at spotting the "aha!" moment before the student does, he makes sure no one gets left behind on the road to mastering maths. Numbers might be tricky, but with Adam they never feel scary.
Pavel Bufteac
Instructor
One of the true OGs of the centre, Pavel's been part of the furniture long enough to have taught half of Milton Keynes their times tables (slight exaggeration, but not by much). Currently studying economics at Warwick, he brings a phenomenal knack for making maths click, no matter how long a student's been stuck. Experienced, dependable, and quietly one of the best in the business.
David Martin
Instructor
David brings bags of confidence and an easy rapport with kids that makes even the trickiest maths problem feel approachable. He's the instructor who turns "I don't get it" into "wait, I've got this!", cheering students on every step of the way. Calm under pressure and quick with encouragement, he's a firm favourite at the centre.
Whether they would like to attend sessions in-centre or online, students can take 3 easy steps to enrol at Mathnasium.
All students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints what they already know and what they still need to learn.

Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East works with children from Reception through to GCSE, ages 4 to 16, across all Key Stages from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to KS4.
Wherever a child is in their schooling, whether they've just started primary school or are heading into their GCSE years, we can guide them towards their maths goals.
Our instructors cover the full range of primary and secondary maths, from early number skills through to the algebra, geometry, statistics and trigonometry children meet in KS3 and KS4. We support all year groups from KS1 through to GCSE.
Because every child follows a personalised learning plan, sessions target the specific topics they find most challenging rather than working through a fixed sequence. If your child needs to shore up fractions in Year 5 or sharpen algebra ahead of mocks, that's where we focus.
A private tutor typically follows what a child brings to that day's session, such as a worksheet, a homework problem, an upcoming test. Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East starts from a different point entirely.
At our centre, every student's sessions follow a personalised learning plan built to close their specific knowledge gaps in a logical order and at a pace that works for them.
Teaching happens in a caring and fun group environment, where each child receives individual, face-to-face instruction, building confidence alongside peers rather than working in isolation. And because our instructors follow the Mathnasium Method™, a proven maths teaching approach used across 1,200+ centres worldwide, the progress children make here is built to last.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach, rather than following a fixed curriculum. It's built on the idea that a child who understands why something works will retain it and apply it, rather than forgetting it the moment the test ends.
In practice, our instructors combine mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques with personalised, assessment-based learning plans. Sessions can complement what children are covering in school under the National Curriculum, while also addressing any gaps that have built up over previous years.
Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East works with children of all skill levels, whether they need to catch up, keep up with their year group, or get ahead.
For children who are finding maths difficult, we start from exactly what they already know and build forward, closing gaps methodically so each new topic has solid ground beneath it. Our caring instructors adjust the pace and teaching approach to how they learn best, while celebrating any win, no matter how big or small, helping them develop confidence to gradually tackle greater challenges.
Students who are ahead of their year group enjoy the same personalised approach that can introduce them to maths beyond the school curriculum, deepening their understanding and preparing them for selective school entry, competitions, or simply more demanding work.
Yes! Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East supports children preparing for the 11+ and other selective secondary school entrance exams, covering the numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills these tests assess.
We recommend beginning preparation in Year 4 or the start of Year 5, giving enough time to close any gaps and build consistent performance across the full range of question types.
Yes, Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East supports Year 10 and Year 11 children through their GCSE maths preparation with a personalised plan built around their current grade, target grade and the topics that need the most attention, covering number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability and statistics.
Absolutely! We help Year 6 children in Milton Keynes prepare for their KS2 SATs maths papers, working through both the Arithmetic and Reasoning papers. Rather than drilling past papers in isolation, we use the diagnostic assessment to identify the specific concepts that need reinforcing, then build those into the child's learning plan.
We also support Year 4 children preparing for the Multiplication Tables Check and Year 2 children working towards their KS1 assessments.
Tuition at Mathnasium of Milton Keynes East is priced as a flat monthly membership fee rather than a per-session rate, much like a gym membership. We recommend most children attend two to three sessions a week, as attending less often can slow progress, while too many sessions can lead to burnout.
Following the diagnostic assessment, we will recommend a session plan tailored to your child's learning needs and goals.
The first step is a diagnostic assessment, which gives us an accurate picture of your child's maths rather than relying on assumptions. From there, we build their personalised learning plan and talk you through exactly what we recommend.
